Absolute best seafood in the world…

This is my second year coming to Weligama and Kuma is always my top choice for seafood. Cooked to perfection and plenty of fresh options, I’d recommend this spot to anyone. They also have a full menu if seafood isn’t your thing.

Very nice place. Fresh seafood and lovely atmosphere. Staff is very helpful and professional. Was there four-five times over our stay, because we enjoyed it very much! Tried prawns, tuna, seabass, octopus and lobster. All very nice.

Fresh fish on the beach for great price. The staff were so lovely and welcoming, we loved how simple it was: you first select your fish from the market in front, then they cook it up for you on the grill, while you wait with your feet in the sand, looking out to sea.

I had lunch twice at Kuma on my 2 days in Mirissa. Fresh seafood and friendly staff. Grilled seabass was yums, seafood fried rice had chunks of fresh tuna and calamari was good. Restaurant right at the beach :)

We had a tuna steak, a whole red snapper, grilled prawns and grilled calamari served with salad and garlic butter. Everything was perfectly cooked. Delicious and reasonably priced. Recommend this place!

Kuma and his crew are very nice, you pick the fish you want to eat and they cook it for you, have a big verity of fresh fish and it was very delicious.

Fresh seafoods directly from the fish market. Just skip the menu. Go to the fish market in front of it directly and pick what you like. Then enjoy the meal on the beach!

Very nice place with fresh seafood. We had crab (really amazing), barracuda, calamari and octopus, all the dishes were prepared on the grill and tasted very good. We enjoyed food and the view as well. Service was good as they described about the seafood and fish, made some suggestions so you could choose the best one for us.

It was best see food experience in this part of island. We took red snapper fish and prawns. We serve it with rice and salad. Everything was very delicious. Good balance of salt and spices! Definitely worth the visit. Thank you.

We were really pleased with all the 4 fishes and prawns we ordered, even the fries were especially good here. The fishes were fresh and delicious. I am writing this in the next morning so no food poisoning whatsoever which I was a little worried about since eating fish abroad is always a risk to take :D

A true hidden gem! We were a party of two.
We picked the seafood we wanted that we like and it was fresh!
They ask you if you want it cooked there? If you want to eat it there? or you want to take it home? Do you want it grilled? or do you want it fried?
If only I can have a place like this everywhere I Holiday!
