Srilanka snake farm. Really nice family to visit. Good amount of snakes they show you. You are allowed to hold all the non venomous snakes. Pictures are also allowed to be taken. 1000 rupees per person but it's really worth it. A must visit place for any tourist in srilanka.

Quite a small place , but they have few interesting species, worth a visit, you can experience less poisonous ones in your hand. Friendly guy, he does this as its his generation into this business.

I knew what to expect based on previous reviews but I still doubted it would happen like it did. We got there and he was just literally standing in front of his house, we asked if this was the snake farm and he warmly welcomed us in. The guy was VERY informative and very laid back. Basically his family finds or receives these snake either from the wild or the snakes are injured, or from neighbors, he rehabilitates them then releases them into the National Forest Reservation. I really enjoyed myself and left with more information about snakes than I started. I definitely recommend it. By the way, he collects the fee at the end and it was 1000 Sri lankan Rupee per person.

An up close and personal experience with some of Sri Lanka’s most impressive snakes. The highlight for me was the 20kg python but the cobra’s also commanded a high degree of respect. Vikman who runs the farm is a lovely man, clearly passionate about what he is doing and a walking encyclopedia of Sri Lankan wildlife. The overall experience was completely unique and unforgettable.

This is a great place to visit. You get to handle and learn about many species of snakes. The owner is a 3rd generation snake rescue and rehabilitation. Also makes anti venoms for the locals. Truly great experience and your money will be going to a good cause. It's a must in my opinion!

Very pro-snake handlers who are knowledgeable and kind, show you an assortment of snakes they’ve rescued from local farmers. Snakes are returned to forest reserves after one month to live in peace. Great for snake-curious to reduce their fear of snakes and snake lovers to learn about Sri Lankan snakes. Note Google Map is off by one house - you’ll see the right place when you get close.
