Hotel Riu Sri Lanka

Had a great and awesome time in the hotel.   Customer services excellent and very kindness. All inclusive Facility is Very valuable and awesome. I have a request If you can build Some washrooms near to the pool area it would better because of children. Otherwise we have to carry them to washroom bit far.  And another one it would better to have some fruits like strawberries, grapes , and guavas in the menu For children. If hotel management can upgrade more water activities for the children it would be very impressive and enjoy ful. Overall my experiences very good.
I'm so satisfied about the hotel and services . my family enjoyed the every moment.

The best hotel ever!!! The staff, rooms, food.. everything is excellent. We couldn’t complain about anything. We will come back for sure. And we recommend this hotel to anyone. Besides.. Sri Lanka and its people are great. We love this country and we love this hotel.

Huge hotel! Very busy. One can wait a while for drinks at bar etc at times. Good food and loads of entertainment all day. The beach is nice and the live music is very good. Overall good value for money.

Our stay at RIU Sri Lanka was absolutely fantastic! My girlfriend and I had an incredible time at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm hospitality and attention to detail. The food was exquisite with a wide variety of options to choose from, catering to every taste. It is also definitely worth mentioning the excellent À la carte restaurants, which you must visit. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ensuring that our needs were met. The beachfront location added to the charm of the hotel, offering breathtaking views and the perfect spot to unwind. Overall, the hotel's services are top-notch. We definitely look forward to returning here in the future. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable and luxurious getaway in Sri Lanka!

Great place to have fun. Good food and drinks. Great swimming pools 3 of them. It is really nice that they keep their guest engaged with lots of fun activities throughout the day. 24-hour food and drinks service is a great addition.

Best place to enjoy your All inclusive stay in sri lanka.
If you are planning to check-in for Dinner visit them after 3.00 pm.
If not you will have to wait until 3.00pm to get your tag and the room.

Great stay, maybe not quite 5 star compared to some places, but really not far off and given the price overall very good value.

Place was absolutely spotless clean and everything was in good condition. Food and drink offerings were fine, especially the local foods, had some great curries.

Best thing overall was the staff. Every single one of them from groundsmen to bar staff, catering, reception, mgt, had a smile and the vast majority seemed like they meant it. Absolutely crazy towel art every day in the room, beach (although I guess it doesn’t belong to the hotel was pretty clean and waters were warm and not too choppy).

I really can’t fault the hotel, everyone there worked hard to give us a great stay from start to finish.

Amazing experience, first time in Sri Lanka and couldn’t be more impressed with the entire experience. Hotel staff were so friendly, very quick to amend any issues, very patient when communicating in English and other languages. Rooms were always clean and kept tidy, loved the towel animals each day. Amazing spread of food, even for fussy eaters there’s plenty to choose from. I read some bad reviews about locals coming in over weekends and mosquitoes, but honestly, never had any issues with either. They learned all my family’s names and even helped me learn some local dialect. Now, into my nitty gritty. I wish the rooms had robes, slippers ect. Food in the mini bar would be amazing, and hotel transport would have been amazing. They unfortunately don’t offer internal transport and encourage to go external which if it’s your first time can be daunting bartering and trusting the locals will take you where you want (they don’t, you have to be very firm where you want to go) Otherwise incredible experience and will be back in the future!! P.s please make sure to tip locals and be polite, they earn very little and any money is beneficial for them, also remember your manners people! So many rude people not thanking staff and having arguments, I would name and shame but i’ll give you an idea it’s definitely not the British, Aussie or Indian tourist….search the frequent visitor stats for Sri Lanka and you’ll know ;)

The Hotel RIU Sri Lanka is a very good hotel!

Clean rooms, restaurants, and social places. The garden and pools are awsome. The poolbar is the best ;) The staff are amazing! Very polite, kind, and helpful! Especially the bar workers, and animation team! The waiters and waitresses are professionals. They are very attentive and fast!
We tried the Asian and Grill restaurant (the Asian 3 times) and we were totally satisfied especially the Asian!
The main restaurant’s food were variable, everybody finds food for he’s/she’s taste.
Sam is waiting you next to the beach, and give you trips or tuk-tuk transport for good price ;) He and he’s team are very friendly and kind!

The sandy beach is clean and beautiful, and the sea temeprature is warm.
The sunsets are unbelievably beautiful!!

Fantastic place to stay and enjoy in Sri Lanka. You get all types of food and drinks. Good clean rooms with nice view of the ocean from the balcony. Quality staff and great service.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Riu Sri Lanka to celebrate my wedding anniversary and I must say it exceeded my expectations. They had upgrade my room FOC. Rooms are great. Food is delicious and really worth for money. You can try different buffets on this resort. You will get free cocktails and beverages too. worth every penny we spent

9 day break. Lovely location on beach. Weather fantastic. Food really good. Hotel excellant. Staff very good. Always cleaning.

It is 2 hrs away from colombo airport . It takes 20000 lkr to get there . It's srilankan alcohol so don't expect they will give you foreign alcohol. Taste isn't that good but you'll get high .
It has alot of Europeans coming to hotel .

Their supportive staff is very kind towards us and animated team doing excellent job with our kids
Restaurants are very clean and they equally serve both locals and foreigners. There are many food varieties with unlimited beverage.
There are 4 swimming pools at different levels. Overall had great experience!!

I highly recommend this hotel as it charms you with its great vista and amenities. The most remarkable thing is the scrumptious food. You could even go to the snack bar to grab a snack and I assure you that you will be always stuffed here as you cannot resist the temptation for the delicious food. I got bit disappointed with the damp floor of the room and we had to wait in the lobby for the check-in till 3 p.m. as we arrived early. However, overall, this is a huge hotel with a pleasing view and a friendly environment. Hoping to visit again!

all good. they have amazing buffets and good environment. entertainment events will be shutting down at 11 or 11.30 pm. pool and pool bar was amazing. i am recommend this hotel for mens to enjoy their day & couple too

RIU Sri Lanka provides all inclusive at a reasonable price compared to all other hotels in Sri Lanka. Food is delicious and it’s served as buffet, hotel is very clean and provides all the facilities expected in modern hotels. Hospitality of the staff is excellent as well. I’ve been to RIU twice and planning to go there in the future and I highly recommend this hotel

You should try this hotel for sure,
the staff is great, the hotel is superb, and the food and cocktails too are delicious .
there are different types for cuisines and the rooms are in perfect quality with mini bars.
this is the 3rd time i visited this hotel with my very family in this year . and planning to visit Riu again soon....
