A very well maintained garden with a lot of variety. Suitable for anyone to go for a walk or just to hangout. Swan boat rides available as well. The staff is very friendly. Parking is available by the side of the road or in private car parks near the main entrance. Parking fees are worthy.

Wonderful place, beautiful plants and trees. An oasis of rest surrounded by the madness of the rest of the world. For the real plantlovers a must-visit. An area where kids can play, enough areas where you can sit down in the grass and shadow, or at the benches. If you're lucky you can watch a game of cricket.

Its so relaxable. Refreshing place. U can have fun with your friends .friendly reminder some are saying this park is not good for girls . I would like to say my opinion in that case. If u have manners and rules then who cares the other reason. U should take responsible of your action nothing more. This place will not harm you. Thank you mark my words. This place is beautiful .

Located just an hour's drive from Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, this garden stands as an easily accessible and secluded haven. It holds historical significance as the birthplace of the introduction of rubber plantations to Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon. Even today, the garden proudly features the first rubber plant ever planted in the country.

Aside from its historical charm, the garden offers more modern amenities. A well-maintained playground adds a recreational touch to the park. Motorbike parking is conveniently available within the park premises, ensuring a hassle-free experience for visitors. Additionally, ample parking space is provided just opposite the entrance for the convenience of guests. They charged LKR 180 per vehicle per day during Dec 2023

This makes it an ideal destination for a day trip from Colombo, combining history, recreation, and convenience.

Superb isolated garden in Gampaha, it has many huge trees about centuries old. It is calm and quiet even day time. You can listen to birds' sounds all over the places

Really nice place to visit. Everyone should try. There are boat rides inside the garden and the garden itself is a very nice place with a children's park as well

The car park however is very pricy and a privately owned place. The government should provide parking facilities since we are paying a lot of tax now but currently there is NO other there is no other option

Can't even imagine if there is a place like this in Gampaha. Parking tickets and entry fees are charged. A big park, a place where friends, lovers, family can all go, there are many kinds of flowers and plants.

This is an beautiful beautiful place! So relaxing and green!! I wish I could be more descriptive but there is not enough words to explain how nice the Botanical Garden is.

Wear comfortable shoes for an enjoyable walk . There are many areas to sit and have a snack.
Perfect for a group,family or even picnic with friends.
The Garden is very well maintained and is instantly uplifting for anyone who takes a stroll along the paths. Nice wind and calming atmosphere all around….

Went for my birthday, it was breathtaking . I took a lot of ethereal pictures, such a peaceful visit especially being in nature, loved that. The destination was so big I couldn't make it around the whole garden. The security was cool no issues at all. Went on the swan boat things, that was interesting. Surprise was seeing all the animals as well. Whole experience was a vibe 10/10 will go there again.

Great place to experience the nature in busy Gampaha town. Service is great. Bike park is there inside free. But for cars its Rs. 180 private parking. Ticket is Rs. 100 per adult. Further there is swan boat ride which is Rs. 300 for two people for 30 minutes. Dont forget to visit tree top house, bonsai place and orchid places. Those are great.

Park consists of several sections and they are marked on a map near the entrance for easy navigation.

Lovely and calm place to take a walk with family or partner

The best place near Gampaha to spend an outing with your kids. The place rarely gets overcrowded. So you can spend your time peacefully. The variety of plants and road network inside the garden makes you feel happy and keeps you walking. Because of the eye candy landscaping, bushes shrubs, and trees the location is selected by most of the couples for their wedding photographs.

For kids, it’s allowed to take pedal scoters, bicycles, bats and balls inside but not allowed to use roller skates. Cars and four wheelers not allowed to park inside. So there is a private parking just opposite the entrance.

Nice environment with lots of trees which you can find many indigenous trees.
There are plenty of place where the children can enjoy.
The boat ride is also fascinating.
