Old Frankland Estate Eco Lodge

We recently visited the hotel and this place is amazing. It is surrounded by a tea estate. Very beautiful and calm place. Rooms are clean & spacious. Food is also delicious. Very friendly and supportive staff. Highly recommended this place to anyone who wish to spend their holiday peacefully.

Amazing rooms, and amazing villa.
Service was truly good and they prepared really nice dinner and breakfast.
Mind blowing views inside the tea estate.

Just one drawback was there, the access road to the hotel was not good.Hotel staff provided us with transport to and from the hotel and even arranged a place for us to park our vehicle.

A great place to scape from the town. Really amazing atmosphere and surrounding. The access road is very tough. Similar to off road experience. But it is a really attractive place once you reached. Recommended not go during the night.

I was there twice with my university friends. It was a really nice experience to us. they provide great customer service. Really calm place, you can spend your leisure time here very well. foods are also delicious. reasonable prices. Highly recommended to persons who searching a place to spend freely with their friends. <3

One of the best!!! Amazing place with lovely stuff and owner who took his time to show us the plantations, made my sons birthday special and helped us to find the way which is difficult to find by google. We enjoyed our stay so much!!!

Great views, nice pool. You need to take a 2km dirt road with a lot of potholes to get there.

We went there for a family day out. Had a warm welcome . Environment is very calm and beautiful. Lunch was fine. Pool is ok. Everything was goo. But the road is broken. Call the hotel before you go there. They will guide you.

Everything was spot on. The owner and caretaker were really helpful and friendly. The road was a bit rough but manageable. When you get to the location, you won’t regret. The place and view were amazing. Indoor pools. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. And a big lobby area. The food was absolutely delicious. Felt like home. Highly recommend it to everyone.

Such an amazing place! We stayed there for one great night. The view from the hotel is unbelievable and all you can hear is the sound of birds!
The service was amazing and the staff were very nice. We met the owner of the place who was very friendly and helpful. He took us to the sunset point, gave us a ride on checking out and arranged our transport. I cannot recommend this place more and I would give it 10/5! We would definitely come back to it. The time we spent there was an experience rather than only a stay.

Super place for friends gatherings. Nice view in the Swimming pool. I think the support staff is the Key value there. They are super friendly and very very helpful.
Property owners are definitely very lucky to have such staff with them.
They take care of every small thing.

You can have BBQ dinner also. They will arrange with your request. They had a Karaoke system and we enjoyed it very much.

IMPORTANT: Be careful when you follow the Google Map. It may lead to a very defecult route. Always follow the ' Rewarh maha vidyalaya or Siri Jayabodhi viharaya route.

I went there with my wife on a motor bike, the road was little bit rough after kadugannawa but manageable. The proprietor Mr. Nalin guided us through the way and it's advisable to follow the way that he tells rather than the google map or you will end up in a very hard rough road like we did. 😅
Mr. Chamara the care taker welcomed us with a blissfull greeting and his service and helpful attitude is very pleasant.
The location was great and it is very relaxing.
Food is tasty. Room is spacious and clean. Price is resonable.
It's a perfect getaway location for a nature loving couples like ourselves.

Great place! The stuff was super friendly and always gave us more food when already finished. The view is extraordinary and the place itself as well. The owner was a very hospitable and friendly man who even showed us around in his estate and gave us a look around and guidance in his garden to explain plants and everything we were interested in. We would really love to come back! Thanks and keep going :)!!

the perfect place if you are looking for a stay around Kadugannawa/Peradeniya with a peaceful and calm surrounding. the scenery was exquisite from the pool and the host was also friendly and very supportive. the food was also good and the the service was really good with regards to the pricing. you also can spend the stay leisurely where you can do stuff like cycling/badminton etc.

This is what Sri Lanka is all about for us. Little jewels in the middle of nowhere! Very much loved staying here, and still feel gutted that we only had one night there (place was fully booked, and couldn't cancel).

Nalin, the owner and manager of the estate, is such a positive and upbeat guy, its infectious. Not only did he offer to pick us up from Kandy - when we could have actually gotten off the train at Peradeniya Junction, which is much closer than Kandy - but he patiently drove us all the way to the estate through solid school traffic, whilst making great conversation along the way.

If you lucky and the place is not full, you might get to choose a room. Check them out, they all very nice, but each one is quite different. Staff are super hospitable and nothing seems ever too much to ask for. Everything is done with a smile and their English is pretty good actually. Most of them work in a number of capacities on the estate, with many of their family members working on the tea and spice plantations. So you get a good feeling for the place, if you willing to engage in a little bit of conversation.

The pool is a true gem in this place. Clean and well maintained, specially considering you miles from the nearest main road. The same goes for the rest of the place, so don't be put off by the odd missing fixture of damaged item; these are minor details. Food is very good too, and we ate more than enough.

If you like to have cocktails and alcoholic beverages other than beer, just ask, or bring them with you when you arrive.

Great walks around the area, which is really peaceful, not even a single dog barking! Please keep it like this - don't play your mobile phone, tablet, speaker etc and let everyone else enjoy the peace and tranquility of this lovely place!

该庄园的老板和经理纳林是这样一个积极乐观的家伙, 很有感染力。他不仅提出要从康提接我们--那时我们本来可以在佩拉德尼亚路口下车, 比康提要近很多--而且他还耐心地开车送我们一路走到庄园, 同时进行着很好的交谈在路上。

如果你运气好, 这个地方不满, 你可以选择一个房间。看看他们, 他们都很好, 但每一个都很不一样。工作人员非常热情, 似乎没有什么要求太多。一切都是带着微笑完成的, 他们的英语其实相当不错。他们中的大多数人在庄园里从事多种工作, 他们的许多家庭成员在茶叶和香料种植园工作。所以, 如果你愿意进行一点交谈, 你会对这个地方有很好的感觉。

It's an awesome place with a beautiful scenery. The natural pool + the river running 🚣🏻across the land gives a pleasant feeling. It's an eco friendly bungalow with 6 bed rooms. +🚴🏻🚵🏻
The route to visit here is also full of natural wonders you can visit here also by 🚉 train

Very calming atmosphere.. Superb view of mountains.. Nice pool with an awesome scenery on the edge of the cliff. Friendly attentive staff. Good for family and groups.

One of the most relaxing hotels that I've ever stayed in Kandy area. Great food with such a care from the staff. Can't await till next time where I get to check in to their cottages.
