Coconut Cultural Park

We had a very nice experience at the Coconut Cultural Park. They showed us the plants, the process how to get oil and the many different things coconut can be used for. Afterwards we got an ice cream and were able to buy some coconut oil. For 600 rupies pp very good!

Very sweet lady called Kema at the counter. We managed to talk iwith a bit of Sinhala and English. The place sells souvenirs like sculptures, keytags, necklaces, and so on. I'm told their ice cream is THE best, but the ice cream gets ready by about 11 am or so. Hopefully we can try it before we leave. It's closed on Sundays, but open on other days from 9 to 5 or so. For foreigners, they charge a ticket of I think 600 rupees. They sell some awesome milk toffees too (I'm told from cow milk which is a bit funny cuz they can easily do it with coconut milk !)

It's great place to see all the coconut related products and the process. It has all the traditional items and machines to show things have evolved. They provide trip around the coconut cultivation with a guide. Also they have a Shop which sells all the coconut related products.

Great place and amazing guys who work there! We came when the park was about to close but the employee made a great excursion for us and showed how they make coconut fiber & rope, in the end we had the tastiest coconut ice cream! Thank you guys, you’re awesome!

They sell drinking coconuts from 7am till 5pm. Good price to quality ratio

Отдыхаем в гостинице Amaya, по берегу идти буквально 7 минут. Пришли в выходной в 16:30, думали не успеем. Написано что они работают до 17.
Подошли к входу , там типо киоска с мороженным 150 рупий и масло кокосовое 1000 рупий стеклянная бутылка 0,7 , вход 600 рупий. Мы купили мороженное и пошли сами , прошли минут 7 и к нам подъехал на мопеде мужчина , представился Большим Боссом )) спросил нас знания Английского языка и начал проводить экскурсию. Показал где и как масло выжимают , как плетут сети - кокос использует по максимуму!! Посмотрели как растут манго 🥭, сердце дракона , лайм, папайя. Рассказали о селекции пальм. Если б мы пошли одни - это была б одна звезда , а так была отличная и не дорогая экскурсия!

Интересно, узнала много нового, попила кокосовую воду, получила в подарок чашку из кокоса) обязательно попробуйте мороженое из кокосового молока

Nice place on the side of the road. When we visited they didn't have coconut ice cream but they did have some delicious milk toffee. The lady at the counter was very sweet.
