Its just amazing and you can buy all sorts of things as you would expect from a bustling central market. It is traditional bazaar located in the center of the old town of Tashkent. But makes it different and attractive is that it sits under its blue-colored dome.

Chorus Bazar is iconic and famous market in Tashkent. Beautiful architecture and huge. Impressive structure from outside with giant dome! You will find spices, fruits, vegetables, nuts, tea, chocolate, toys, dresses, salads, cookies, fries, bread and what else not.

I purposely visited this place because of its historical value. Dating back to as far as the 9th century (according to Wikipedia), this place must have been a beehive of activity back then.

It is still the same to this day - a humdrum of activities, I regret that I only had a few minutes (not even an hour) to explore this place. We saw fruits, dried fruits, nuts, spices, meat, cheeses ... ! There were so many things to explore and buy.

I loved the atmosphere. We bought spices, dried fruits, nuts, and tea here. I'd like to believe that we also got good bargains here.

A very big market indeed. A place where you can shop for anything and everything at one place. Just as you exit from the Chorsu metro, you enter here.
There are different sections for similar kind of things like spices, clothes, ceramic work, etc.
You can definitely bargain here and get a good price for souvenirs as a tourist.

It is very easy to find the market. You can get there by bus, metro, or taxi. We chose to get there by metro. The metro station is right inside the market, so it is very convenient.

I did not see as many souvenirs for tourists as I saw in other bazaars in Samarkand or Bukhara. There are more local food, fresh food, regular clothes, household items, etc. I enjoyed walking and observing Uzbekistan people’s shopping.

Don’t miss the food area. Both sides are packed with street food. Freshly cooked, inexpensive prices, interesting, and delicious food. There are seats that you shared with other people, order food, and enjoy your $3 meal.

Such an interesting place. I was short of time so made a quick tour of this market. A go to place for fruits, vegetables, spices, dry fruits and what not. I tried the local veg salad which is available alacarte. So, we have the option to pick the cut vegetables placed in the shelves and they provide them for eating. The bazaar has a huge meat section and is clean and well maintained. A great place to know the Uzbeks way of life.

Great one. Biggest market with everything under a single roof including meat, dairy products, gold, vegetables, fruits, clothing etc. There's a metro station nearby as well as bus stop for easy commutation . Most of the shops are closed by 6 PM. So ensure to reach there in the day time to cover all shops (though it is not possible)

Huge market place with beautiful building. They are, you can buy and find practically everything from food, apparel and appliances. Worth visiting just keep in mind that you have to bargain a lot otherwise you’ll pay double price. And don’t go on weekends, you’ll be lost in the crowd.

Various nuts and dried fruit are available here. The building was built during the Soviet Union, although the market dates back to the Silk Road

Very huge market spread few kilometres, 3-4 dome shaped . It’s a historical market with each and everything under one place . It’s organised in such a way that one won’t b tired in searching things they want. From clothing ,groceries, meat, starting from north hand side starts with stationary, plants, meat, groceries, vegetables, fruits, dryfruits, groceries, household utensils, huge section of spices. Many things you tempt to buy as it’s cheap and best to choose as many vendors.

Spellbound by the market. So many items, buzzing with vendors and people, colorful fruits, cheese and dry fruits. A Must visit venue in Uzbekistan. Any purchase is cheaper here than anywhere in the country.

Really lively and bustly local market selling meats, fruits and breads. It's a great way to immerse yourself in the local culture and see how people interact with each other.

From dry fruits, spices, clothing and many other things at this massive shopping area.

Did I mention, wear a good shoes and ready for a long compelling walk !!

A must visit if you are in Tashkent! Easy to get to with the subway, it is full of grocery and souvenir shops. Negotiate the price to more than half!

Huge marketplace with hundreds of stalls both inside and around the Bazaar building, selling virtually everything there is to be sold. The butcher stalls inside the dome are somehow a little gruesome, but in general, the sights and smells (an assortment of smoked cheese, pickkes, spices, fresh fruit and roasting meat) are breathtaking. It can be easily reached by subway (Chorsu Station).

Amazing place to visit for tourists and expats living here. You can find anything if you have the time to get lost in this huge maze of stalls in Chorsu bazaar. The meat market is something I have never seen on such a scale before. I love buying plants from the nursery area and local clothes from the stalls... Also a place to get spare keys cut and buy items for your house.
