If you are into bargains as well as some affordable souvenir shopping, Gukje is really a nice place to start. We were staying somewhere around an hour away (Haeundae beach) but this market is very accessible via their subway, just look for how to get to Nampodong Station. Adjacent to this is their Fashion Street as well as the BIFF Square so there's really a lot of areas to explore.

You can buy pretty much everything here, from food and snacks to household accessories and souvenirs.
We visited on a weekday so the market wasn’t very crowded but I can imagine more people visiting on the weekend since it’s a very touristy place

I like this market as it has authentic old Korean vibe. You can buy tasty Omuk (fish cake) that is one of the symbols of Pusan. Or you can try Korean street food. Recommend for visiting👍🏽

Massive noisy area of criss cross streets selling food, clothing, shoes, souvenirs, and anything else you would like. Shop around, as prices vary and become smaller as you get away from the perimeter and penetrate the interior. A not to miss experience

Dropped by because my daughter wanted to have Sinchang Toast (near to section 3). It's bigger than i thought, there are 5 sections. Do spend time at Gukje food street opposite, you will be able to find local foods.

Probably a nice market for the locals, traffic is very very low on weekdays and could find yourself the only tourist there. Seems like most stuff are catered to the locals after these two years

I was here a couple of times since this is one place where you can buy cheaper goods/souvenirs in Busan and is also interesting because of the different restaurant, shops, cafes you can find. However, I often got lost in this area because it was unclear where Bupyeong Market starts and Gukje Market ends.

From daily essentials to snacks/food, the market has everything! Whenever I get to visit the market, I try different food and that becomes a meal. I recommend 씨앗호떡 - chewy and sweet. Overall I love how vibrant the market is.

Find all stuff you need. It's a huge market. Recommended for those who visit Busan and want to grab some souvenirs, even Ginseng as a gift for your family. This market is also close to the BIFF street food. So, it's a must visit location for your journey to Busan.
