The air was so fresh. Definitely recommended for nature lovers or if you just want a low key quite place to walk around. From here it is about a half an hour walk to the metasequoia tree lined road.

It is a great place to fully enjoy the greenness and freshness of all four seasons. You can have enough time and have a good experience breathing phytoncide while walking on a trail through the bamboo forest.

In all honesty, this is a hiking trail disguised as a lush bamboo forest. It's so green and there are interesting pieces/installations at several points in the trail. There are also restrooms in different sections, which is very convenient. Bring a hat, some good walking shoes, and a fan.

It's exciting to finally see these bamboo forest as only watched on Korea series. It would have been a lot better if it's lush green. However, taking a walk around the forest is recommended and there is a cafe, recreation place behind the forest as well.

Beautiful and tranquil. Lots to explore!

In winter, try the foot bath! I felt refreshed and my feet were warm and soft.

The lady who manages the place was so kind, she gave me sweet potato while soaking my feet.

This place was great! The trails were groomed and it was nice and peaceful just to sit around and listen to the bamboo. They’ve got various benches and pagodas throughout to enjoy a snack while you hike around. We came before 10 o’clock and found parking easily. It was not crowded as we walk through.

This place was great! It's very beautiful and peaceful. There's a couple cafes inside so you can grab a coffee or tea while you walk. The trees hadn't really gotten their leaves back just yet, but the bamboo was nice and green. I think it would be even more beautiful after the trees get their leaves back!

A beautiful relaxing place to go to if you are in the Damyang/Gwangju area. The front area houses well-manicured bamboo clusters while the back area has a really nice park (perfect in autumn!). You could spend at least half a day just walking and taking in the sights of the place. Restrooms are also very clean. Entrance costs 3000won but it's well-worth it. There are a whole host of other activities and food available in the vicinity too so it makes a good day trip.

One of the few Moso bamboo forests in Korea! Wear long clothing to reduce the severity of bug bites within the forest!

The entrance fee is kind of cheap compared with other countries. The bamboo tree forest is nice place to take a walk. When the wind blows, you can hear the sounds of bamboo tree and it is so relaxing. There is art museum and cafe inside where you can see interesting mix media arts and take a rest. So i definitely recommend to come here to take some time out from busy life.

Calm and cleaning, even many people.
Free to park but little expensive to enter this.
Valuable to visit here one time.

Really beautiful and refreshing, even during the cold end of fall. Forest bathe in bamboo, y'all. Shame about all the grafitti and "Min-ji loves Hong-cheol" nonsense etched into every third bamboo stem, even with clear signs everywhere not to do that.

Magnificent park with thousands and thousands of Bamboo trees! The atmosphere of calmness and zen. Relaxing zones for contemplation of nature and Korean traditional garden art and design. Sunbeds, benches, playgrounds and waterfalls.

The park is famous for bamboo, i heard. It is all bamboos here and there and very nice to walk around. It was quite wide so it needed more time than we had expected to see through. Not just bamboos but beautiful old buildings and ponds are there. That buildings are really beautiful and historical. Some of them used as hotel(hanok pension) Staying there can be a very special experience. I would like to do next time on my Damyang visit. Not just this park, but the whole city was beautiful. Go visit Damyang!

Great place to go for a walk, admission is just 3000 won. Very easy afternoon trip from Gwangju. It's near Guksu (Noodle) Street, which is a great area to stop for a cheap and delicious lunch since Damyang is famous for noodles.
