This temple is a short and easy walk on paved roads / wooden boardwalks up the hill from the ticket booth and park entrance. The temple is nice, but the views of the temple with the mountains in the background are the real draw here. There are also bathrooms, food stalls and souvenir vendors here, so whatever you're into, stopping here is recommended

Easy and fun hike with striking views. Souvenir shops and street food venues in the area definitely add to the fun!

This is a pretty neat temple.

It's accessible by public transit. The fee to enter is pretty reasonable. There is a lot of stuff in the area as well and lots of places to have a snack or a meal, although most of the venders are pretty aggressive so that's a bit annoying.

Aside from that though the actual temple area consists of a huge variety of trails going upto several hundred feet across many km so for hiking enthusiastic people it's a good spot as well if the temple itself isn't that interesting to you!

Cheers

Awesome place to get away from hustle and bustle of city life. The tranquil atmosphere and beautiful view will bring you back to the calm life.

Quite nice temple which is not so far away from the city (like 50 minutes by bus from KAIST and then maybe 15 minutes walking). We came in Saturday morning and it wasn't that crowded. It was quite busy in the afternoon on our way back.

The place is very beautiful and peacefull, parking lots available, lots of places to try Korean traditional dishes all before entering the area with temples, welcoming people and very eager to assist you. The entrance at the temple was 3000 krw for an adult and a few toilets every now an then on the way up to the temples.
U can get a lot of different souvenirs that are quite expensive in my opinion.
The experience was a very nice one👍I would totally recommend it!!!

Lovely place for a stroll. 2 hour walk on a paved road up the mountain to a small temple.
Can go further up for a hike.

Had to pay parking and entrance fee tho.

It was a beautiful place with many little restaurants and a few shops. People were kind, the buildings were ornate and colorful, the trail was easy to follow, until you get a little higher up the mountain, it’s for more experienced hikers. There were many groups of ahjumas and ajussis hiking. Great place to take the family during good weather.

A lively park of Gyeryong Mountain with lots of temples, gift shops, and Korean food stalls (pajeon, roasted chestnuts, grilled rice cake, steamed corn etc). Very crowded on weekends in autumn. Nice place for families, avid hikers, and foreigners to experience Korean culture.
