The best and easiest way to describe the experience is:

* Amazing, welcoming & helpful staff;
* Beautiful, stunning, creative cave infrastructure;
* Fantasy heaven;
* Emotional;&
* A workout.

I was very impressed with the whole Cave experience. From the entry to the beautiful lighting, architecture, designs, history, and the huge Lord of the Rings surprise for all Fantasy lovers. The entry alone made me feel like I was in the Avatar movie. It's such a bitter-sweet beautiful experience because once you read all the history of the cave you can't help but feel overwhelmed. They preserved the history in such a beautiful way and it was an honor to be able to experience it.

It's wonderful what south korea has done with it's painful history of Japanese imperialism and turned it into a beautiful and miraculous cave and you can live through the history. It's definitely a must visit to know the grit of Koreans.

Wonderful. The Caves have themes and history explained by pictures or walls. Take a translator. Most isnin korean. Convenience store right there. Also a restaurant. Cant take water or food in the caves. Bring comfy shoes.

Gwangmyeong Cave
A beautiful cave decorated with many different themes. It is a cave that was used in WW2 and also during Japanese colonialism times. It used to be used as storage for the little salted shrimps and it also contains a winery with a programme for wine tasting.
The photos are taken at the entrance and first room of the cave, a place that seems taken out of the Avatar movie. A surreal rain of colours and lights. There is even an aquarium and I was able to see a fish from the age of dinosaurs! Another interesting thing was a long dragon in perfect LOTR style. It's the biggest dragon statue in Korea! All amazing sights hidden in this beautiful cave outside of Seoul! The entry price was 6000 won, around 4 euros. I went there with my friend, it was the first time for her as well but we absolutely loved this place, much bigger and so much more interesting than we thought! Plus, of course, the beautiful Instagram pictures ☺

Astonishing creature of korean civilization. I was wondering how the fountain flows from the hard rock and the golden road was also amazing.

The area is pretty huge and lots of people. You can buy food from the stands and have a sit-down to eat, chat, and rest. Definitely bring won to buy stuff. There's a VR building that I didn't have the time to visit because almost all of it was spent going through the cave.

Inside Gwanmyeong cave there is a constant draft of air, so I would recommend to wear a jacket during the fall and winter months. Not once while inside the cave did I feel like it was cramped. It could be that sometimes you'll forget you're underground. It's a huge flow through that when you reach the wine area, you'll go back the same~ish way you came and THAT'S when you'll start to climb a lot of stairs. If you've got bad legs, I do not recommend going far in the cave because there's only one rest area and only two spots with a chair to rest.

Other than that, I enjoyed my visit and it's definitely worth visiting again.

Gwangmyeong Cave is basically a cavern theme park, offering cultural performances, unique activities and some more, including an aquarium, 3D hologram and laser shows, a waterfall, a giant golden statue, a small history museum, a tour in the cave underground

Beautiful place. You can spend 3-4 hours in here. The light show inside cave is very good. The cave is deep and very well maintained. They have opened VR games zone, its good but ride is short for money. The food stalls are good and connectivity by cab and bus are good.

Very cheap price for a very amazing cave experience. Also a good escape from the warm summer weather!

Next to it you'll also find a cool upcycling exhibition

This is a full afternoon activity for family in the summer time. Visiting this cave is not dangerous at all. It does require going up and down the steps so avoid bringing baby strollers. Make sure your kids is ready to exercise while exploring the cave (ie. waterfall, garden, treasure, history, rocks and minerals and many more). On a hot summer day, this cave is a must visit. Wear closed toe shoes for safety reasons.

6000 won for adults but worth it! Cave water can be slippery though so wear a good pair of shoes and take good care of the kids.

I am told I was lucky- most people say the cave is usually really busy, and parking can be trouble, but when I went, there were very few people there! It was fantastic! Bigger than I expected, and many cool themed areas! There was even a wine/coffee cafe! There are food stalls/trucks outside, and plenty of scenery both in, and around the cave! Not stroller/wheelchair friendly, so beware. But, a wonderful, and cheap experience!

This cave is pretty fascinating as you can find LED lights, a winery, gold locks, waterfalls, an aquarium, a muzium and so on all …

This place is an amazing place to visit. It's a bit outside of the city, easily accessible by bus. Wonderful experience and things to try and do in the cave and out. It's an old gold mine that was converted into a themed experience and they've done an amazing job with lighting and decorating and making it a worthwhile time. Along with with a spectacular laser show, miniature aquarium, dragon, underwater lake and Lord of the Rings mini exhibit, the cave is known for it's own wine primarily show casing Korean vintages.

Have to climb up a lot of stairs to get to the cave entrance. An old mining cave with lots of story. Lots of activities and gimmick inside.

Great date spot, not everything is open with COVID-19. Still a great cave experience. Clean and well maintained, more of a theme park then natural cave
