It was good point to enjoy and see a view of city and sea. There was a " health checking gate" available, you could check how thing you are passing through the pillars shown in the last photo.

Super brutal set of stairs up to the lighthouse, but totally worth it. The view was breathtaking. You get a pretty good view of all of Sokcho, from the mountains to the lake to of course the ocean. I'd recommend it even for people who struggle with the way up the stairs. It's really worth it. Free, too.

Climb up some stairs and you can have a nice view of the city. It is free, and washrooms are available.

Beautiful place in Korea that is only 2 hours by car away from Seoul! Great seafood and parks. Awesome market filled with local foods unique to the region like their chicken, seafood rolls and ice cream. Beaches are clean and there are lots of motels around.

Great 360 view of Seokcho and the ocean from the lookout. Free of charge and a good walk up.

Great place more especially for fishing, waiting for sunrise and sunset.

Nice view on the top. 360" view over the city and the national park.

속초 바다와 시내를 한눈에 내려다 볼수있습니다.
밑에 주차장에 주차를 하고 계단으로 걸어올라가면 속초가 한눈에 보입니다.

속초등대전망대. 무료입장.
꼭대기의 오픈전망대가 뷰가 아주 좋다.
속초에서 아마 뷰가 제일 좋은 지점일듯.
파도치는 바다, 호수, 산 모두 보임.

속초 8경 중 제1경에 손꼽히는 명소다. 새하얀 등대 외관과 주변을 둘러싼 푸른빛 바다가 한 폭 그림처럼 어울린다.

속초등대전망대는 원래 등대로만 기능했으나 지금은 일반에 개방되어 전망대 역할까지 담당하고 있다.

전망대에 서면 짙은 쪽빛을 머금은 동해바다와 철새들이 날아드는 청초호, 병풍처럼 둘러쳐진 설악산의 수려한 풍경까지 모두 담을 수 있다.

높은 곳에서 내려다보는 동해 바다는 망망대해처럼 너른 품을 펼쳐낸다. 바다는 호수처럼 잔잔하다가도 파도가 춤을 추듯 넘실거리며 생명력 넘치는 모습을 보인다.

속초 시내와 해변, 설악산을 한 번에 볼 수 있는 등대입니다.
등대여권의 스탬프를 찍을 수 있는 등대이기도 합니다.
