Makeman Mihama Branch

This place is simply amazing. This is like what I wish Home Depot in the United States was like. This place has everything for anything on a DIY or serious home applications and renovations you would or could ever want or need. If you don't come and visit here it is a huge mistake especially if you have some sort of home project going on. Things are amazingly cheap in price and not on quality!

Love makemans. They precut all my lumber for my projects and do such a great job. Then I can just go home and assemble my project! No mess in my apartment! Was able to make this headboard and coverup some boring accent wallpaper

Good selection DIY store. You can find most of things for the home.

This is one of my favorite home improvement shops. It has a lovely grading area along with supplies for home improvement and pet supplies. It also has a really nice home design section and the prices are great.

Dog friendly! They have the dog carts but I only saw the ones higher off the ground and I can’t pick up my lab to put him in it. We did take a quick walkthrough the store.

The customer service is exceptional! There is always someone willing to help Americans trying to navigate their way while shopping. Better than any Stateside Home Depot or Lowe’s I’ve been to.

I go here often yi buy wood or other DIY supplies. Staff is very helping and prices are comparable to other shops. Wood cutting staff are fast and fee is cheap

I remember the friendly staff and the vast amount of EVERYTHING they have in a place smaller than a Home Depot. Everything was well organized, clean and available. The funny part is that have tools for every budget like crappy and cheap for starters or the real deal heavy duty ones for pros. Highly recommended.

So glad my husband found this place! Definitely beats going to the exchange for certain things!
It’s basically a lowes/home depot/big lots/dollar tree/Petco lol !! They have a bit of everything in here…right in American village.

I especially like the 100 yen section. Has a nice, large section of things you never knew you needed/wanted.

Lots of gardening, camping and cleaning items as well as small pets, lighting and a florist

They literally have everything you need for your home here. Take advantage of the 100 yen (dollar store) section and get all your plates/glasses etc. Plenty of lawn care equipment if you can’t find one on FB marketplace. Also, if you buy any Japanese electronics and plan to use them on base make sure you buy a step down converter so you don’t fry the electronics (they also have those here). Make sure you go in with Google translator so you can read what you’re buying if you don’t speak Japanese.

I love this Makeman, though I've never been to any other. I've bought from the DIY areas, garden area and the pet area. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and the ladies who care for the pets are so sweet and loving toward the animals. One speaks okay English, but otherwise I need to bust out my google translate app. I love this store! Definitely a Japanese Lowe's fused with a super Wal-Mart and a small pet store.

One stop shop Hardware store with everything you need, in the heart of American village. We love to visit this particular store as there are tons of restaurants and attractions nearby. Plenty of parking and they also have a generous assortment of goods to include building materials, tools, pets + pet supplies, furnature, house hold goods, arts and crafts, & even a large 100 yen section. It's not the largest MakeMan store, but the location cant be beat.

I come here to buy all my supplies for our Guinea pigs. They have pretty much everything here that you could need! Plants, hardware, car stuff, house stuff. They even have cars for your dogs to come shop with you!

Does it get any better than a one stop shop? I can buy stuff for my garden, turn around purchase some car parts, walk down the aisle and grab some office supplies, add eggs and bread to my cart, and finish off with a new puppy. Always leave with something new!

This is my paradise, i would say it is a combination of basic Wal-Mart and Home Depot all in one. They have a lot of english speaking staff that are happy to assist and the store is well organized and items easy to find. Outdoor and indoor areas are very clean.

This Makeman has a Seria in it (similar to Daiso with 100¥ items). DIY store with basically everything you need. If you’re a teacher and need laminating sheets, they have amazing sales (however A4 sized). Great selection of plants.

Good place to find do it yourself items, lots of wood, construction, tools, plants, pots, home decor items. Have a 100 yen section as well as a large pet section that also does grooming at a decent price

They speak English at the Help-Desk in case you need assistance. Key making is also extremely cheap but you need the original key, not a copy for them to make one. Parking is spacious and location is convenient.
