Comfy - Japanese Café & Bar

This truly is a comfy place! When you're traveling, that is appreciated 🥰 The food was top notch, we loved that they used seasonal ingredients. There was an array of local and house made drinks too. The owner was very nice. They also speak English. We found the prices to be very reasonable for the quality of food and service. When we are back in Nara we will return!

The owner Hiro is amazing, I came here solo and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is really laid back.

If you want to try some Nara prefecture food after a long day spent with the deers, this is definitely the place to go!

Tasty authentic Japanese food in a new, small, bright and comfortable cafe. Reasonable prices, friendly staff member who speaks great English and is very helpful. This is the sort of restaurant we love supporting! I would only ask for a vegetarian option for one of their set menus. Good job guys!! Keep up the good work!

I feel so lucky to have found this place. The owner, Hiro, is so friendly and fun, and speaks perfect English (as well as helping me learn a few useful new words in Japanese - thanks again for that!). We had our first ever sake here, and I can’t imagine a better place for it: with helpful non-judgemental tips and advice from someone who really knows what he’s talking about. The fried chicken was also delicious. I’d love to come here again!

Wonderful dinner at Comfy. The owner, Hiro, was extremely kind and generous with his time. We enjoyed a delicious set menu with fried chicken and also used the opportunity to be introduced to local sake - both excellent; a gateway to a new tradition. 🍶

Food incredible, tasty, different in a great way (coming from a person who is from Canary Islands). The waiter was super nice!! He recommended us what to eat, new crafted beers and also speak great english. 10/10

I found this place after being rejected from two restaurants for being too full. The two hosts, who I assume to be a couple, were incredibly nice and spoke great english. They picked my meal for me, and though it was admittedly simple, it was incredibly delicious. I definitely recommend coming here, it really was great.

Fantastic food! They told me the chef trained in Japanese cooking for 10 years and it shows. The atmosphere is --comfy-- and the waiters and chefs are super sweet. Will definitely be back!

家内と一緒にランチをいただきに行きました。
DIYで制作されたと言う店内はすごく素敵な内装で、観光地である奈良の風情にぴったりです。
お料理は言うまでもなく抜群の美味しさ！
ランチ２種類を家内と私でひとつずついただきましたが、カツオのたたきと春キャベツのメンチカツ、どちらも最高に美味しかったです。
スタッフ様は皆様暖かく迎えてくださります。その様子はお店のインスタから覗える通りです。
奈良にお立ち寄りの方には是非オススメのお店です！

Barタイム早めの時間にお邪魔しました。18時すぎてもcloseになっていたのですが、以前きたお店かも？と思ったので厚かましく扉を開けました。一見さんには入りづらいかもです。
おばんざいの一品一品が丁寧に作られていて、すごくおいしかったです。居心地もよくトイレも趣向を凝らしたシンクが素敵。飾ってあるアート作品も素敵でした。
ビール好きには生ビールがあればと思いましたが、瓶ビールとおいしい日本酒をいただきました。ぷるぷるのだし巻き玉子もおいしかったです。
テーブル席からしか見えなくてお店の方は気付かれていないと思いますが、店の外まできて帰って行かれるお客様がたくさんいらっしゃいました。通りかかる多くの方の気になるお店なので、入りやすい工夫があればいいのにと思いました。

凄いオシャレなのが出てきてビックリしました

暑さと夜勤明けの疲れで食事は、食べませんでしたが今度は食べてみたいと思います
