一流の木工職人を目指し、東京から移住してもう１５年近い「かんな」の店主は、今時は珍しい、ただならぬこだわり者です。今時の機械をたくみに利用した木工技術も去ることながら、手技も半端なものではありません。キーホルダーやアクセサリーのような小さな物から大きな看板・家具まで、全て１個からでもオーダーメイドできますが、難しいお客様の要望に対しても常に最大限の加工を施し、器用すぎて完璧主義なため、利益をど返ししてでも自身の納得がいくまで作りこんでしまいます。言わば、お客様にとってはメリットしかありません。輸入や大量生産で安価でも長持ちしない物があふれる現代において、「かんな」の木製品は今後益々希少価値が出てきそうです。
