Sunkissed Divers

I completed my PADI open water and advanced open water with Sunkissed Nov 4-8. I felt very well taken care of throughout, starting from George handling all my email inquiries and booking, to my five training days with my instructor Tino. Tino made the process so easy and enjoyable with the hotel pickup and drop off, provided water and snacks, had spare equipment, and had a knack for finding the coolest creatures (like white-tipped sharks, turtles, Pokémon nudibranch and frog fishes!). I truly appreciated that he sometimes extended the dive if I still had a lot of air remaining - it shows that he truly wanted to give me a good experience and not just to do the minimum required. He also gave me valuable feedback after each dive. It was a real bonus that Tino also took great pics and sent them to me after!

After my training, it wasn’t clear to me when I can expect my dive log to be approved and when I will receive my PADI certification. But a quick message to Tino clarified the progress and I am expecting my certificate sometime this week.

He merged safety and learning seamlessly, making even the complex techniques approachable. His vast marine knowledge and genuine care for students amplified our underwater adventures. Tino is the best dive instructor! We did two dives and saw some amazing creatures…one was at night and we were blessed to see the flamboyant cuddle fish! I will definitely be keeping in touch with Tino and Sunkissed Divers as my travels take me back to Okinawa! He taught me a lot in a short amount of time!

Absolutely incredible experience! My husband and I have been scuba diving once before but Sunkissed Divers has a different level of professionalism. Our instructor, Tino, was so kind and knowledgeable and made my husband and I feel safe the entire time. He took amazing photos of us and even found an octopus for us to see! I would recommend Sunkissed Divers to anyone coming to Okinawa looking for their diving adventure. I was looking for a diving school to get my Padi certification and so found Sun Kissed Divers Okinawa. I had a great experience as a first time diver! My (English speaking) diving instructor Kuba was great at clearly explaining everything to me during the diving preparation and under water. He made me feel very comfortable and helped me gain confidence under water! So for anyone looking to go diving in Okinawa I would reach out to Sunkissed Divers Okinawa for a great experience!!!

We went snorkeling and scuba diving with Sunkissed dives. It was one of the most amazing times, and they make sure each customer has an individualized experience, with safety a top priority. Highly recommend for snorkeling and scuba diving while visiting Okinawa, Japan.

While visiting Okinawa I felt like diving at short notice and was looking for somewhere around Onna. George was quick to respond to my inquiry and added me to a dive group going the next morning. Kuba and Adrian were excellent dive masters and expertly guided us through the Blue Cave. So two fun dives, second off a coral wall, well organized, guided with good dive gear. I will definitely use the team again.

Loved our experience with Sunkissed Divers! Me and my partner did the PADI Open Water Certificate and it was delightful. They were very helpful picking us up from the hotel and driving to the diving sites. Kuba was a great instructor and had a ton of patience helping us whenever we had issues and answering any questions. I can't recommend them enough!

We did our Open Water Diver course with Sunkissed Divers a few months ago, and it was awesome! George was very patient with us, helping us get to the point where we were comfortable with everything we were learning to do. Since then, we've been on a whole bunch of dives with George. He's always fun to dive with, knows all the good spots to catch the coolest sea life, and takes some great pictures for us. We're looking forward to lots more dives with George, and to taking our Advanced Open Water Diver course soon :)

Sunkissed divers are great! George was very helpful to help and get my son certified while on vacation. Kuba was his instructor and is a great diver and instructor. He made my son's dives exciting and still covered all the skills that he needed. I was able to go on all the dives with them and had a great time. Could not be happier with the whole experience.

Kubo and Stefan were both great dive instructors! Communication was great and they were willing to go out of their way to pick up / drop me off at the hotel. Also the dives were amazing, Okinawa has some of the clearest water I’ve ever seen.

I had a great experience diving with Sunkissed Divers Okinawa. Coming from the US, I did not speak Japanese, but I wanted to dive some of the best sites on the island. It was very easy to organize this by calling the shop and speaking with George, who put together an awesome itinerary including dives at Gorilla Chop, Minnajima, Manza Dream Hole, and USS Emmons. He also recommended a great bed and breakfast close to the dive sites where I was able to try out the local cuisine. Stefan, the instructor I dove with, was experienced and helpful, going out of his way to ensure I had a good experience. He helped me fix some bad diving habits, pointed out all the interesting creatures he found underwater, and held onto my gear after the dives so I could go directly to sightseeing. I highly recommend booking with this dive shop and diving with Stefan.

Had two great dives with Tino! We dove at Gorilla Chop. It was a little crowded because most dive locations on the island were unavailable because of high winds. Tino still managed to find some great spots without a bunch of other divers around. Sunkissed was also very flexible, we were able to schedule our dive just 18 hours before going. Also appreciated Tino taking photos for us throughout the dive.

I had some great dives with Kuba from Sunkissed Divers. On Monday afternoon George was able to arrange 2 days of diving that week; 3 boat dives on Wednesday and 2 shore dives with a night dive on Thursday. I didn't have a car on this trip to Okinawa but that wasn't a problem because Kuba was able to pick me up. All of these guys are great and I look forward to diving with them again!

Amazing experience! We chose the first time dive. Our instructor was very experienced and patient. He explained everything well. Made us feel comfortable about the dive. Got some great photos along with seeing underwater life.

We decided to go to sunkissed divers after searching several dive schools and we made the right choice. For me it was the second time diving after 10 years. For my companion it was the first time. The contact in advance via email was great. George always answered quickly. After my companion fell I'll it was possible to postpone the date.

We were picked up at the hotel by our instructor Stefan and driven to the dive spot at gorilla chop. On site, Stefan explained the equipment and the diving rules to us in a really good and understandable way. After my companion noticed during the first diving attempts that the breathing was very unfamiliar to him, Stefan was very patient and understanding. Through good communication and exercises, my companion got used to the breathing better.

We always had the feeling that we were in good hands with Stefan. In between, he always asked us if we are doing well (:
He wanted to make the experience as good as possible for us.

A big thank you to Tino my divemaster who guided & took great care of me during my 10 dives in okinawa! It was great to be able to converse in english with him and I’ve learnt alot of new skills to improve my diving from him which i have not learnt from other divemasters. Highly recommend and i would come back again 🐚🪸

As a group of four complete beginners (father and three kids), our two instructors Anthony and Stefan led us on a fantastic half day “Scuba Discovery” course, with some shore instruction followed by two reef dives. Anthony and Stefan were highly competent and professional and took very great care of us, helping find correct buoyancy and resolve initial problems with equalization - the ratio of one instructor to two pupils was very helpful here for us as beginners. They quickly had us all swimming underwater independently and with confidence, marveling at the marine life on the reef at Maeda. On our second dive we swam underwater into the Blue Cave which, being late in the afternoon, we had almost all to ourselves. A really special experience. Huge thanks to Anthony and Stefan for delivering us our top holiday memory. If you are looking for someone to learn to dive with in Okinawa in a professional and safe but very friendly and fun environment then I can 100% recommend Sunkissed Divers.

We had an amazing experience in our 3-day PADI Open Water Diver Training with Sunkissed Divers. Kuba is an excellent diver instructor. I struggled at first because I was scared but he calmed me down and made me feel confident. He explained everything we need to know and helped us whenever we encountered difficulties. Sunkissed Diver is really the best place to go for people who love diving even those, like me, who not that confident with their diving skills at first.
