Best way to try all of the cheesecakes? Get the large parfait (well, the one that isn’t the small parfait on the menu). When they tried to tell me it was big, I was like that’s fine! I can handle it, I’m a dessert pro. Haha...ha. I’m writing this from the grave, as I died from a delicious cheesecake overdose

I must say that a trip to Farm Designs in Hamanaka town, Hokkaido, Japan had made a big impression on me. Before I get into the story let me tell you about Farm Designs. In Japan they use the name Farm Designs but in Thailand we called it Farm Design Thailand. A story about Farm Designs is touching and you can learn more about them from this blog including the menus at the first and only branch in Japan.

In 1987, eastern Hokkaido, a young couple who came from the city bought the old farm and started their own dairy farm. Poor lands, poor machine, harsh nature attacked them, but they worked hard and hard every day. It needed 15 years to appear their ideal dairy farm.

They open their own restaurant” Farm Designs” in their farm. They produced specialty milk, specialty lunch and handmade cheesecake. One day a famous department store employees in his family travel visit their restaurant. He was so surprised for their cheesecake and ask to do a line up at the store. That is beginning that made Farm Designs known to the world. Their cheesecake got many awards and were a great demand from many other department stores.

Let me introduce him to you as Kaino-San. Kaino-San has given us a warm welcome at Farm Designs.

I’m so lucky to meet Farm Designs owner, Mr. Yasuhiko Kaino. At first, I was not so sure what would be proper of me to call him. Should I call him President Kaino or Mr. Kaino but after I get to know I can feel that he is very friendly and humble.

We first heard of this place 4 years ago, never imagining we would some day be able to come here. Well, it was worth the wait. This place is a gem. The Choco Moo cheesecake lived up to expectations, if not exceeded them. Great setting, great location. Worth the trip.

We almost planned our whole Hokkaido trip around visiting here after seeing the owners on Adam Liaw's tv show a few years ago!

There is now a substantial cafe/restaurant at the dairy farm which has all sorts of choices. But we cam for the cheesecake and coffee!

We ended up trying the Hokkaido steamed cheese cake and the New York baked cheesecake. Both were very good with the Hokkaido my favourite.

Coffee was very good (espresso so I was happy).

Very nice people and the lady owner came out from the kitchen to say hi.

Really nice place. A definite to visit while enroute on Route 44. Food and milk products are very fresh esp the chicken is amazing. View is superb and fits the ambience very well.

You will be surprised after drinking hot milk!

점심으로 샐러드, 피자, 오므라이스를 시켰습니다. 음식들은 대부분 신선하고 맛있었습니다. 커피는 헤이즐넛향이 났습니다. 후식으로 아이스크림까지 먹으면 배가 너무 불러 작은 사이즈로 먹어야합니다. 눈이 없을때 다시 방문하고싶네요.^^

私はエゾ鹿のスパイスカレー、妻はゆるふわオムライスをいただきました。エゾ鹿のカレーは十分美味しくいただけたのですが、ここでしか食べたことないので比較はできません。オムライスが美味しかったので、たぶんエゾ鹿カレーも他所より美味しいのでは？
味もそうですけど、ほぼすべての料理に大盛りとＳサイズが用意されてるのがうれしい。隣接の牛乳ケーキ工場で作ってるチーズケーキも美味でした。THEチーズケーキ！という感じ。あと、コーヒーが良い味でした。京都にあったらなんだかんだで隔週くらい行ってそう。

お店イチオシのトロトロベーコンオムライスとモデナプレートを注文！
オムライスは見た目通りの味である。モデナプレートはバルサミコ酢のソースで食欲がさらに増すし非常に美味い！
料理が美味いので食後にデザートを頼んでしまった。デザートは文句無しに美味い！

2021年8月15日、ファームデザインさんにやって参りました！
ファームデザインさんは浜中町にあるレストランなんですが、ソフトクリームだけ食べることもできるんです。
テイクアウトだと324円、写真じゃわからなのですが巻き部分のボリュームがすごいんですよ。そしてすごく牛乳を感じられるけど後口がサッパリ系のお味。トッピングの牛さんのクッキーも美味しいし、何個か乗せて欲しいくらいでした笑
私はソフトクリームだけでしたが、店内はお食事中の方がたくさんいらっしゃいました。そういえば前にサンドウィッチを買ったことがあってそれも美味しかった覚えがあります。今度はお食事でお邪魔しようと思いました！
※ちなみに浜中町には、コープはまなかさんで食べられるヨンゼロと呼ばれる有名なソフトクリームがあるんですが、同じ浜中町でも全然タイプが違うのでぜひ両方お試しくださいね。

44号線沿いに根室方面に向かう途中にあります。
外観はもちろん中まさにファーマーズレストラン。
メニューは1000円前後がほとんどで、どれも美味しく、満足度非常に高いです。
ランチの時間に行きましたが、ほぼ満席なので少し早めに行った方が良いです。

お腹一杯でソフトクリームは諦めました（＾∇＾）次回チャレンジします。

This restaurant stuff so polite, there has a lot of menu and delicious.You can come by rent a car.You can take it home.The surroundings are pasture, comfortable space and beautiful scenery.

牧草地の真ん中、国道沿いにあります。スタッフの方々は親切で、メニュー豊富の上、美味しいです！牛に関するグッズが多々あり、迷ってしまいます。食事もカフェもオッケーです。カフェは、ケーキとコーヒーのセットあります。お土産に、牛のクッキーオススメですよ！
最後のアイスはインスタ映え、間違いなし！

【カンザスポークプレート】1,080円と､【ソフトクリーム】324円。
連休中のお昼なので､なかなか込んでます。
カンザスは､醤油ベースのガーリックソースでご飯と良く合い､これだけ掛けても一膳は食べられそうです。
ソフトクリームは､脂肪分の粒がプチプチとした食感として感じます。
国道沿いにあるので､ドライブがてら食べに来ても良いです(^_^)

道東に行ったら必ずと言っていいほど伺います。
ランチの時間は平日でも混みますが、待ってでも食べてみる価値があると思います。
浜中町はモンキー・パンチさんの出身地なので直筆の色紙も見られます。
ツブツブとした食感もある子牛のクッキーが付いたソフトクリームは最高です！！

何を食べてもうまかったです！働いている方の愛想もとてもよく、また行きたいと思うお店の１つです！
ソフトクリームはさっぱりとしていてざらざらとした舌触りがたまりません！

ソフトクリームはさっぱりしていながら、しっかり牛乳の味がして美味しかったです。
チーズケーキは数種類あり、北海道チーズケーキはさっぱり、クラシックチーズケーキは濃厚な感じとお店の方から聞きました。
北海道チーズはさっぱりしていて美味しかったです。

お店もロケーションも料理も最高です。
が、複数人で行って食べ物を頼むとめっちゃ待たされます。
スケジュール組んで旅されてるグループは注意。

料理もソフトクリームもまた来たいと思える説明不要の美味しさです。
店の側で覆面パトカーに捕まっている車がいましたのでお気をつけを。
