Visit: 25 Desember

This street is indeed very famous, there are many old historic buildings - more precisely churches with various styles according to the manufacturer, for example, the one in Kukunjunhi is a Russian, American, French and various kinds of buildings. The building blocks with a mix of European and Japanese models are still well maintained, maintained and renovated. The surrounding houses are still inhabited, still using the original building form. The view of the pier is very beautiful, especially at night, making you feel at home for a long time. During winter the road becomes more risky because the structure is uneven, tends to be steep, slippery and narrow. These roads are still operational so make sure to respect them.

the street is just as beautiful as the photos on review!!! just walk around the area is also recommended since the building has a mixed of modern and traditional touch. Please beware and respect locals when taking photo because it still a road with commuting cars

About 25-30 mins walk from the Hakodate JR station
Grab some food at the Bay Area, e.g Lucky Pierrot.then just walk 5 mins more.

It’s a great place to get the slope with the bay water.

Worth it surely

Wonderfully symmetrical view leading down the hill towards the water near the Port area. Plenty of space to take photos.

I came here when the winter festival was held, so it has a light illuminated from trees on each side of the road. When the weather is clear, you can also see the ocean from the upper side of the slope. A good place for photo spot I guess, but be careful of cars going from front and behind you when you’re taking pictures in the middle of the road.

Came here in winter. Not so many tourists, which is good to take a nice photo. And, this slope is in the walking distance to Hakodateyama ropeway. Visiting this slope before sunset and going to Hakodateyama for the sunset and the night view makes a great travelling plan.

A very popular area, frequently visited by tourists for photographic shots. The picture of the slope from the top and down into the sea, is beautiful. Looks seamless...
But then, at times, there are too many tourists, jostling for spaces and photos. Patience needed for a good photography.
Best to come early, to beat the the crowd.

This place is so famous even among the Japanese.

There was not much traffic in the area that it allows you to take all the photo you wanted.

Quite beautiful view from the hilltop. I visited there in the late May which I believe is the best season.

Quite hard to find this place but worth it. Recommend all to come. Please be careful when you take pic. There is car driving all the way up and down.
