Daimon Yokocho

We ended our night at yakiton&choinomi and had the best drinks and yakitori. The owner was a lovely gentleman who apologised for no english menu. However, he was super helpful in assisting our navigation of food and drinks and gave a lovely Hakodate sake recommendation. He told us how to pair the sauces for our yakitori :)

Great food. The beef ragout was awesome. I had two rounds of Shochu. As izakayas go, it was a decent price for the entire meal.

Many awesome Bars for Food and drinking. Very lovely, totaly Fall in Love with that place.

Soooo good. Especially Genghis khan lamb bbq and artisan kushiyaki (grilled pork and chicken skewer). A variety of Japanese street food in the middle of Hakodate. Just 400m from JR Hakodate station. Ramen, Oden, Sashimi, Sushi etc. are also available in this place

Great izakaya yatai. The food is good, the staff friendly and the drinks cold. Order the zangi fried chicken, daikon Salem and hasucap sour drink. There isn't an English menu but there is a lot of food photos to help you order.

So let's just say my Japanese isn't the best and neither was there English but they did everything possible to make sure I had a wonderful meal and over all a good time. The restaurant has a really unique layout that being said I am by no means an expert of restaurants in Japan. At the end of the day the connection with the people made it a really pleasant experience even if I had no idea what I was ordering or even eatting 🤣🤣

Should be on everyone's must do

Came here on 3 consecutive nights to try out different eateries. We went to one of the izakaya (2,400¥), a ramen shop (1,800¥), and a tempura shop (2,500¥). All delicious and reasonably priced.

Decided to patronise this shop that offers mutton bbq! Turns out the mutton is so good! The side dishes this shop are very good too. Good place to have meat and beer!

Two by two block radius of small closed stalls. We went to three stalls throughout the night and all were great! All places we went were very accommodating to foreigners. We went to hakodate ikaya (gyozas), wabisuke (yakitori), and I forgot the third place...

Alot of small intimate eateries - we picked some items from 2 different stalls. Delicious food.

Nice cosy restaurants. Small and fits maybe max 10pax. Good variety and choices. Decently priced. There are some “celebrity favs” frequently visited.

We had a great evening here. The food was great and the atmosphere really friendly.

It's filled with a a lot of restaurant and very beautiful at night especially when it's snow.
