The best. So delicious. Currently contemplating how soon I can handle second lunch. I got the seafood variety bowl (kaisen donburi) and it was perfect. There are too many other delicious choices on both the standard and seasonal menu.

No line on a Monday in April at 11am.

Edit: and absolutely no line at 3:15pm for second lunch 😅 the salmon and salmon roe bowl (itokodon) is divine, and the seasonal ruby crab is also very delicious. Silky perfect smooth salmon, I’ll remember this meal for a long time.

Seafood at its best and cheapest. The ebi were still moving when it got served. Nothing fresher than peeling it yourself. Can still taste a slight hint of sea water. The entire basket cost 800 yen! My whole meal and a beer cost me 6000 yen.

Wait time was about an hour when I arrived at 12:30 and some menu items were already sold out. However! Generous portions for amazingly fresh seafood - I don’t think you will find a value as good as this outside of Hokkaido. Very much recommend if in the area!

Wonderful place to have a simple but very fresh lunch. Then, head downstairs to buy back seafood and local sakes.

Wow tons of seafood at ridiculously much lower prices than Sapporo and definitely Tokyo. I wish I could bring the whole store back home. It's a block from the train station and also before Nikka whisky distillery.

In the beginning, I must to alarm you guys, the shop will open around 8:30 am to 9:00am. However, the restaurant is open at 10am. Please arrange your plan smarter. I recommend the people that have their room to cook food or same me that arranged the Yoichi whiskey factory tour to visit here for the breakfast or lunch. You can pick the rice bowl or set you want. For those people that want to eat the sea urchin rice bowl. I cost about 5000yen to having that. I think the price is fair, but they price meun is mot friend to the tourist, especially you can't read Japanese. You need to pay the basic fee and the additional fee to upgrade your normal seafood rice bowl to the deluxe version.

Doubles as both A seafood Market and restaurant as well a small supermarket. The seafood are freshly sourced everyday and one of the best places to purchase Hokkaido Crab. They have a delivery service to mail the crab to other parts of Japan. The restaurant itself has delicious fresh seafood direct from the market and cheaper in comparison to the city and other fish markets close to Otaru station. Definitely worth stopping by!

Superb local restaurant. Food was fresh and well prepared. A local hangout with everything in japanese, do pop by if u r visiting nikka, it is worth every penny. Food portion great and delicious, has local vibe.

Good value store that sells mainly fresh seafood but stocks other everyday items. The restaurant upstairs serves delicious seafood rice bowls - it gets quite busy at the weekends.

Great neighborhood market with a wonderful seafood market, and a restaurant up stairs that is a must visit if you are in the area.

Stopped for a very quick bite before grabbing the train to Sapporo. Easily some of the highest quality bowls I've ever had.

Great place to get seafood and vegetables and other snacks. Got the sweet prawns for bbq and they were so fresh and delicious.

Nice and cosy place to dine. This is a place frequented by locals. I was there during lunch hour, and I can see that there's many officer workers dining there. The seafood served there is very fresh and tasty. Diners will collect a ticket, and wait for their food to be delivered, and the server will collect the ticket from you. It provides free flow of hot water and hot green tea. To use the wash room, you will have to change your shoes for their slippers. But not to worry, their wash rooms are very clean. I will definitely visit again for more seafood if I visit Yoichi.

Fresh and cheap seafood available here. Uni bowls are probably half of that as compared to some places in Sapporo. You’ll have to order before you go in though, so decide quickly. Also expect a queue when you are there.
