Beautiful place! Wear comfortable shoes and clothes for hiking. Small playground.
The ice cream shop was closed before 5 pm

Nice park with a stunning view of the sun, best at sunset.

When the azaleas are blooming and the weather is clear this park is breathtaking. Near 180 degree views from the top. It must have taken decades to plant all the azaleas as they stretch as far as you can see. Good parking. Y500 entrance fee per person is a little expensive for a family. Nice drive up here, too, on very windy roads.

Beautiful all year round, but particularly around April when the whole place is covered in a rainbow carpet of azaleas (tsutsuji).
The islands in the background are the northern Kujukushima Islands (99 Islands).

Pretty hike up to shrine and down into the azalea grove overlooking 99 Islands National Park.

Best place for sunset view. Gorgeous. Be there at 6pm to watch. Drive up and park and get out to watch sunset in distance.
There is also a small hike on side of mountain if interested in hiking. Totally worth it.

Beautiful Scenery and view.! Gorgeous flowers so don’t be surprised by all the bees too.. Amazing park and 2 slide for the kids.!

九州は5.6回一般道や高速で上陸して此の辺りも何度か来ているが何々公園という名に魅力を感じず今日4/11日迄足が向く事は無かったが、今回の風天旅、何故かふらっと訪ねた。ツツジ祭りの真っ只中だった、もう凄いの何の圧倒的なツツジ、つつじ、躑躅、贅沢にも九十九島を借景の多島美!、カメラシャッター壊れる位、写しまくりです
＊見頃はまだまだ続きます、今日は少々花曇りなのに其れでも感動しました、快晴日は更に大きな感動を胸に残す事間違いなしの場所です。

つつじで有名なスポットだそうです。
見頃の季節にはまた違った雰囲気が楽しめそうです。
天気もよく景観が素敵でした。

右斜面は、陽当りが良い性かほぼ満開。最初に行く順路では、丁度つつじの回廊の様になっていて、濃厚な花の密の中を歩いて高さが上がって来ると眼下に九十九島、斜面上部には満開のつつじを堪能。中央・左側は６〜８分咲か?!
平日、開園直後ですばらしい時を過ごしました。

4月中旬に訪れたが、既につつじが満開で、楽しめた。お弁当の持ち込みが可能で、さらに公園入口の入園料の料金所で、お弁当を500円で買う事もできるので、子供連れの方にもピッタリだと思う。我が家は、わんこ連れだったけど、十分楽しめた。我が家のわんこも大満足のご様子だった。

佐世保に凄いツツジの公園があると行ってみました。
北九十九島を見下ろす長串山に10万本ものツツジが植えられている公園です。ツツジ祭り開催中は、17時までは入場料が必要でした。
駐車場から既に道沿いのツツジが満開です。池の上には休憩所があり、辺りには遊具施設があります。スライダーがあって、子供たちも楽しそう。
展望台へ登って行くと、どんどんツツジのボリュームが増えていきます。すると山の斜面一面が、ツツジ山となっています。カラフルなツツジの彩りは圧巻の眺めです。
山を登ればツツジの斜面の向こうに、北九十九島の海が広がり美しい風景です。ファインダーに収まらない程のツツジ山は、色々な写真が撮れますね。
頂上には金比羅様の社があったので御礼申し上げておきました。

17時を過ぎると、広場まで車でカメラマンが続々とやって来ました。きっと夕暮れを狙っているのでしょう。
ツツジの原色の世界の中で、色に酔いそうになる程、素晴らしい公園でした。

2022.4.19 正面〜展望台上の斜面がちょうど満開で山全体がモコモコという感じでした。本当に見事です！これまで観たツツジの中でも最高！と思いました。ぜひぜひお早めに足を運ばれることをオススメします。
展望台下の奥側斜面は見下ろした感じではこれから満開かなぁ。以前、4月末に行ったときはそちらが満開でしたので。こちらも含めると4月いっぱいは楽しめるのではないでしょうか。
