Great place to stay! It’s located perfectly so everything (beach, 7-11, restaurants, bars) is 1 - 10 min walk away. Great price for the rooms. Surfing lessons were awesome! I highly recommend trying this if you never have before. Also, the pizzas they have there are really good. Easy 5 stars, would give more if I could!

Very friendly place. Went there for a surf day from Tokyo. It was very easy to find the place (short walking distance from the bus/train station). And the board and wetsuit were in good shape. The owner, Dale is a pretty chill person and you get to meet some local and international surfers. Good vibes

This place has definitely contributed to 'My Personal Top 10 Experiences in Japan' list. Kelly, the owner of the place, is amazingly easy going and gave us great tips about Onjuku. Plus, she is very flexible with the planing and makes sure you got what you wanna experience there, like she did for our surf course. If I'm back to Japan during summer time, I'm definitely going to this place again.

Best place to stay, barbecue your own dinner, rent surf equipment and eat American burgers, microbrews & pizza in Onjuku, hands down!
The owners, Del & Kelly, are sooo personable and go out of there way to be casually accommodating. Very relaxed environment and right next to one of Japan’s best beaches.
What more could you ask for?

Amazing for beginners! Del is from California so this is the ideal guy to teach you! Prepare for the best surfing session ever!

Renting surfboards and wetsuits, also some drinks and accommodation is very nice and clean. Very good price for accommodation.

Best place to learn surfing in onjuku

Super Nice and professional

駅から近いし海も近い。近くには飲食店もありますし、ちょっと歩けばコンビニもあります。Wi-Fiも完備、ベッドも快適。値段もお手頃でとても満足できました。なぜかカップラーメンが２つありました。(食べちゃいましたがおいしかったです)機会があればまた行きたいですね！！

サーフィンスクールもとっても分かりやすく、ハンバーガーやホットドッグなどの食事も美味しいです。ただ、ハンバーガーやホットドッグなどもアメリカンなサイズでとても大きいので、少食な方は友達と一つをシェアしたり、一人の場合はテイクアウトするのがいいかもしれません。
