Kamine Zoo

Perfect size zoo to bring young kids. New area with lions and tigers is great. Including an area for pictures with little statues. Very interactive and fun. Recommend renting the stroller if your kid is 4 or less as it's a bit hilly

Small zoo with an impressive monkey and flamingo exhibit. Halfway through the zoo there is a small food area with tasty corn dogs. After the zoo, I recommend taking a walk through the slightly run-down looking but still somehow functioning theme park right next to it :) The view is beautiful!

From Hitachi Station on the JR Joban Line, take the bus for approximately 10 minutes and get off at Kamine Park bus stop.

🌹 - Hitachi Kamine Zoological Garden:
Hitachi Kamine Park is at the base of Mt. Kurakake and overlooks the city of Hitachi and the Pacific Ocean. The 150,000 square meter park is famous as a cherry blossom viewing spot and also features two amusement parks and a zoo.
The zoo at Hitachi Kamine Park is home to various animals and birds including elephants, monkeys, gorillas, bears, tigers, rhinoceroses, zebras, giraffes, penguins, donkeys, and sheep.

Great place to learn for the kids. It is a small local zoo with uneven terrain. So if like hiking and learning about animals, Kamine zoo maybe what you're looking for.

The zoo seems to need more support, so if you want to help out and learn about animals, it is worth a visit.

Enjoyed and the zoo is only 450 yen

Great place for kids and family. You can enjoy a whole day there as there is a small amusement park annexed there. You can also enjoy and relax at the park where you can climb up a small building structure and check the view around from above.
The Zoo is big and there are a lot of interesting animals to see. You can feed some of them (specific and available food).
Some of them has a sad look in their eyes that breaks my heart.
Overall, a good place to visit and spend the day if you're around Hitachi. Recommended 😉

I wish I had known about this place before.
It's much bigger and better than your average prefectural zoo. Animals still look as sad as any other zoo but some thought has gone into providing them with interesting space and entertainment.

I arrived to late to see the various feeding times. Will definitely go back.

Highlights were the monkey enclosure and the lizard room.

Capybaras were fun to play with.

Highly recommended for a family trip or cute date!

This place is great!it looked small but actually it's quite big.the animals are well taken care off. Price is very cheap and the park view is breathtaking!do book your slot before come due to covid situation.bioking could be done in their website.no payment.only booking for Entrance slot

I highly recommend visiting during summer season. It opens until night. So you can see many animals' activities of night. Annexed small amusement park is also nice place.

Small, but still nice! Peculiar landscape makes it an interesting place. Animals are sweet, as always!

The popular zoo for locals and travellers.

私の地元の昔からある動物園です。子供が生まれた今、帰省するたびに行きますが、静岡の日本平動物園とは違った動物がいて何回来ても楽しめます。
キリンが見られるのが嬉しいです。
高台にあるのでそこから眺める海が綺麗です。
ヤギや鹿に餌をあげられるのも楽しいです。
入り口が1カ所しかないので、巡回ルートが固定されているので、ある意味無駄なく回れます。
さすが日立市、他ではなかなか見ないウミウもちゃんといます。
日本平動物園からお引っ越しした、ジャガーの小麦ちゃんの成長が見られるのがとても嬉しいです。
猿の展示や猛獣の展示、ビーバーの展示など工夫を凝らしているのも良いと思います。
遊園地側の出口付近にある資料館もぜひ立ち寄ってください。
ゾウのミネコの骨格標本や、ちょっと辛辣な延長先生の質問へのコメントも見ていて楽しいです。
SNSで欲しいものリストを公開して善意を募ったり、なかなか上手に運営されていると思います。

最高ですね😊👍GW中でしたが激混みではないですし、良かったです👍外国人は少なめです。
アソビューを前日までに利用してチケット購入すれば大人470円、子供90円で利用できます。
ただ、元々安いので定価でも気になりません🤣

前に行ったのは４年くらい前だったので久しぶりに来たら、奥の方の施設が新しくなってて綺麗でした✨

餌やりは、「ヤギと羊」が1箇所。餌代１個100円。
同じ場所でモルモットと触れ合えますが土曜日はやってませんでした。詳しくはサイトを見てください。
その他には、先に進むと鹿にも１個100円で餌があげられます。
草を固形にしたペレットを草食動物にはあげるそうで、それと一緒に人参も入ってます。
ちなみに飼育員さんに話を聞きながら子供が自分のお小遣いから100円を出すと、子供の人数を見てくれて、ニンジンを一本おまけしてくれました♪

ただ、これを見ても例外ですから皆さん期待しないでくださいね🙇

あと、キリンの餌やりができるのですが、時間が決まってるらしく、動物に夢中になってたら時すでに遅く、終わってました。。。残念。
昼時ですがあげたい方は気をつけてください😄

あと、真ん中あたりに草っ原のエリアがあり、そこで自前のお弁当を食べました。
ほぼ目の前にはチンパンジーの山？があります。
売店は園の真ん中ほどにあり、席はそれなりの数があると思います。
ただ、混みますし、お弁当持参は個人的に正解だったと思います。

いや〜久しぶりでしたが動物が可愛いし子供も大喜びで、大人も楽しめるので総じて最高でした👍
高速を使っても園の料金が安いから気になりません♪♪♪
また来ます！！！
あと、チケットは事前に購入しておくのが混まなくていいと思います。

私個人の満足度では上野を超えました。
ぞう、ライオン、トラなどを、「この距離で独占してみれるの⁉」と驚きばかりでした。

値段が大人520円と安く、ゴールデンウィーク中でも人はまばらで、じっくり動物観察ができました。
2才の動き回りたい子どもがいましたが、たくさん動き回ってもまわりに迷惑かけることないくらいの距離が保てており、少し気を楽にして見て回ることができました。

獣舎も新しいものが多く、展示のクオリティーも高かったです。

ヤギと鹿に１００円でエサ（ペレットとにんじんスティック）をあげられるのも、子どもが手渡しで餌やりを楽しんでいて、親としては嬉しいポイント。

難点
バリアフリーでベビーカーで見て回れるのですが、建っている場所が山なので坂が多く結構体力使います。
また、子どもが動物園手前の遊園地に魅了されてしまうので、うまく動物園に誘導するのが難しかった…。

520円でこんなに楽しめるのは最高❤

月曜日だったし寒かったのでガラガラでした、遊園地の1部は定休日だったので動物園だけ見ました😊
モルモットもふれあいできますし、すぐ近くで動物が見られます！種類も多く楽しいし可愛い😍😍
坂があり敷地もひろいのでけっこう歩きます！
ジャガーやライオンに熊、サイなど大型動物もいるのですっごい楽しめました！草が伸び放題のちょっと悲しい所があったりしっかり綺麗にされてる所があったりはします。
とにかく種類が多いのでとても良い🥰💓
