Art Museum & Library, Ota

Right next to the station, with a great little cafe ( bit pricey ) but good coffee. The building itself is great, and if I could I'd be there most weekends snuggled down enjoying the atmosphere. Didn't go in the art gallery but the library ( which is pretty much fused with the gallery spatially ) was great.

A small peaceful library with a cafe and state of the art building. If you're a Subaru fans, there are some merchandise on sale too. Ota in Gunma where the very early production and manufacturing of Subaru is located.

This is a brand new public facility from 2017. It has modern architecture and a large number of books focusing on the visual and fine arts. If you are researching art or graphic design, there are many resources available. There is also an art gallery, although there is an entrance fee and we didn't see that part of the building.

Great place to relax with a book and grab a cup of coffee. You can sit on pillows, chairs, and stools throughout the building or on the grassy knolls on the roof.

Beautiful modern building, decent Cafe inside, quiet. My favourite place to sit is the counter by the window on the 1.5th-2nd floor.

Love the architecture and design of the building. A cosy place for a good read and a relaxing place for a good chai or other drinks.

Very very nice place.
You can stay here all weekend while the town outside is nothing to do.

A good place for took some pictures , the place was nice and quiet too.

初めて訪れた時に、たまたま施工に携わった方に
当時のお話を聞きました！
バリアフリーに特化しており、外周上をなだらかな
スロープになっている構造ですが、駅の真横で
コンクリートをスロープ状に固めることがとても
大変だったようで、真夏の深夜に連日連夜コンクリートを
固める作業が続いたそうです…。

完成した時の感動も一塩だったそうで、
その甲斐もあってグッドデザイン賞も
受賞しております！
100年先も残って欲しい図書館です！

群馬県太田市の図書館・美術館です。
まるでガラス張りの宇宙船のような外観
中に入るとスロープに沿って本棚が
並んでいてとてもオシャレな感じです。
これまでの見た図書館の中では、
黒磯の図書館と並んで一押しの
図書館です。ここを見に来る為だけに
太田に来る価値があると思います。
ちなみに、閲覧デスクには、
電源コンセントがあるので、
充電等も出来ます。

まず、建築デザインが素晴らしい。そして駅の目の前という立地。文句のつけようがありません。町の図書館がこんなだったら毎日寄りたくなることでしょう。そして、他の町の人に自慢したくなることでしょう。おしゃれなカフェまで入っていていうことなし。太田市にお住まいの方が羨ましくなる図書館でした。高知県の梼原町の雲の上の図書館と並ぶ名図書館に思えます。

数年前、ここで行われた「愛でるボタン展」を観にいきました。
外観も内装も、モダンアートみたいに、おしゃれ。
通路には、光がたくさん入るように設計されていて、気持ちがいいです。
難があるとすれば、駐車場が少し停めずらいかな。

内外館綺麗です。
カフェも有り、落ち着ける建物です。
