I went on this day and most things were in full bloom. Purple wisteria was going strong, although I could tell it bloomed before the white wisteria. White wisteria was probably at its peak and was absolutely stunning. Yellow wisteria had barely bloomed, so if you go later in May you’ll probably see it. Roses also had not bloomed. But everything else was in full bloom.

I spent about 5 hours here, from 2:00-7:00, because I wanted to see the night views. 3:00-7:00 would have been better, but I go to take my time walking around the park and resting.

There are a few places to get wisteria ice cream, so if you see a place with an extremely long line, you can probably find a much shorter line in a less busy area.

With the wisteria and many other flowers in full bloom, this park is beautiful and a little magical.

Words would not do justice. Hopefully, the pictures can convey some of the wonder.

There is an entrance fee.

There are multiple gift shops, mini restaurants and wisteria ice cream kiosks throughout the park.

Beautiful blossoms as always! The park was more crowded than I remember but this could be due to the weekend crowd. If you can tolerate the heat, I recommend taking your time and exploring the different sections of the park:) Some of the flowers were starting to loom dry from the heart but it’s still a beautiful walk!

Hysteria of wisteria(the good hysteria of uncontrollable emotion and excitement) palpable in this park. A 2200 yen ticket covering both the day visit and night illumination aids to enter the park and once you are inside , prepare to be mesmerised. Have around 4-5 hours to complete the trails and a bit of hike and have a brief picnic if you wish. Won’t need to tell more, the photos would suffice😀

I visited on April 25, and bought a day-ticket in advanced and got a QR code which is very easy to enter once you reach the park. If you come from Tokyo, you can take the Utsunomiya line local train to Oyama, then change train to Ryomo line until you reach Ashikaga Flower Park Station. I reach around 3.40pm which is perfect because I can get photos of day view as well as night view (buy a day ticket, and you can enter anytime). There are a lot of people even though I went during weekdays, maybe because its closer to Golden week, there's a lot of locals and foreign tourist. When you first enter, you will pass through the souvenir shop, there's a lot of cute things and foods related to wisteria, once you pass the shop you will enter the park. The smell in the park is so amazing, it smells so nice. If beautiful was a smell, it would be wisteria scent. When I was there, the purple wisteria is at peak, and pink wisteria has already pass its peak, as for white wisteria it just started to bloom. I spent almost 5 hours in the park and walk through every inch of the park. There are not just wisteria, there are azaleas and other flowers too in the park and it is a very nice scenery. If you're tired, grab a quick bite at any of the cafe or restaurant, there are couple of restaurants and stalls throughout the park, small souvenirs shops are also scattered throuhout the park. Try the wisteria ice cream and wisteria soda too while you're at it. Dont forget to shop for souvenirs before you leave when you're done with sightseeing. And don't be late to catch the train to go back, as the frequency of the train are every half an hour or so, so you dont want to miss the last train if you're traveling back to Tokyo.

16 April 2024 - Superb, fantastic, amazing. Nature tamed so well as to offer utmost beauty in every corner.

Wisteria still not in full bloom. A few rare pink ones but the purple ones will take another 12-14 days so on or about 28th April this year and I am hoping to return. But even without the purple wisteria, there is enough beauty here to inspire awe. Many varieties of cherry blossom were in full bloom, as well as so many other varieties of flowers, most of them labeled with names in English and Japanese.

We also saw a blue heron by a pond with blue flowers. Amazing beauty here.

We had a tasty lunch at the Wisteria restaurant and Wisteria ice cream at the cafe in the afternoon. Shopping was also quite fulfilling at the various gift shops dotted around the park with many items like fragrances, soaps, hand creams with wisteria. Most food items were only colored purple but were not really wisteria although there was wisteria honey.

Many of the tour groups came to spend 2 hours. For me a whole day might not even be enough. Chairs and benches were set out in strategic parts of the park allowing a visitor to commune with nature in comfort.

We bought out tickets at Kkday and there is a QR reader right at the entrance. No need to exchange at the ticket counters. Free parking plentiful in front of the entrance.

By the way, there is no fixed ticket price. Ticket prices for the day are only posted by the park in the morning of the same day depending on how the flowers have bloomed.

Flower seeds and potted flowers are also on sale at the park. Look for these before exiting. They are great value with potted flowering plants starting at ¥150!

I came to this flower park on April 2023, when the most popular Wisteria flower in this park starts blooming. I was very lucky I visited this park when it was sunny day, not raining at all (it was rainy season). There is a lot of different types flower, you can enjoy seeing it while walking or sitting on the bench.

Apparently there is a souvenir shop that selling flowers too, they are available in a little pot or even seed if you want to plant it yourself.

There is also a restaurant that is selling a limited time Wisteria themed ice cream, they said it's a combination of vanilla and Wisteria flower.

We went here to see the nice illumination that Ashikaga Flower Park had put this Autumn season. It was so amazing. They have different features of lights all over the park like castles, pyramids, flower lights and many other Christmas decors. The entrance fee is only ¥1300 per head. We had so much fun capturing photos here

Beautiful park and lighting. We went at night time in November 2023 and they started displaying xmas decoration. This park also offered lighting show, food and beverages food court, cafes, small snack stalls and gift shops.

We had to walk 10-15 mins from station but it was worth it.

Went for the night time light show. Absolutely gorgeous. As the roses were still blooming the garden is filled with a sweet aroma. There shops and food vendors open at nights and an overall festival feel.

The park luminates at night with a lot of light shows. Even if there was no natural wisteria when I went during October there were tons of things that made it look similar and the place was interesting overall. I do not recommend going there if you are a solo like me since it was very sad to see only couples there uwu. Still it was worth it for 1300 yen.

Absolutely beautiful and soothing. I highly recommend coming to Ashikaga Flower Park. The flowers are stunningly arranged and gorgeous. There's peaceful music playing around the park and there's plenty of seating and benches around the park so it's extremely relaxing. They have different flowers and displays going on around the year (I went just as the wisterias were blooming) so you can go anytime. It's about 3 hours outside of Tokyo by train, so if you live in or are visiting Tokyo it would make a good day trip. One thing I will say is that there is a long period between trains, so be prepared to wait at the station for half an hour to an hour.

Lovely little spot to visit for half a day, very pretty flowers around here, which probably are best seen in Spring. But even in summer it is worth visiting.
On-site food and shops are available.
The wisteria flavoured soft serve ice cream is fantastic !
A couple of lovely souvenir and gift shops and a few games for kids make it a well rounded package.
Entry is inly 500¥, well worth it.

One of the best park. This is my second time visiting. Sadly we can’t catch the full bloom of wisteria. Definitely will come again in different season to check out its beauty in different times. Pictures taken on 8 April 2023. Admission price is 1000 yen today. For your planning reference.

This place is simply magical during wisteria season. The park is filled with numerous amazing flowers in bloom and they are all incredibly beautiful. The wisteria trees are something you have to see to believe as pictures really don’t do them justice. The park does get really crowded but it is still really enjoyable to just spend a day exploring all the different beautiful flowers at a leisurely pace. Would highly recommend visiting at least once during wisteria blooms for a full day.
