Suzuka forest garden

Definitely check their social media for the flowering status before going. We went during full bloom and it was like someone threw up pink vomit everywhere. The ticket price changes according to the flowering status. We took the designated bus from Yokkaichi train station on (pamphlet on their website, it is not easy to find the bus stand, the station staff who was such an angel, walked with us to show us, you have to cross roads to get there) and it was an 800yen ride. Remember to buy your return ticket too!! Take note of the bus times as we missed the return bus and had to wait for the last bus 3+hours later in the cold. Approached staff for help and they offered to help call the taxi company, the estimated price to the bus station would be 10,000yen... There were small food stalls inside with seating, but your ticket is per entry and you can't reenter to wait (and be warm) unless you buy another ticket. This is great for pictures but this is not a picnic place, you take pics and leave. Staff was friendly, you can only use CASH at the souvenir shop!!!!! It was a worthwhile visit as Japan is not fully open to all countries yet so there was no tourist tour buses. Think 2024 onwards will be waaaaaay more crowded.

There is a light up event during March but only in weekends. I used the direct bus service from Kintetsu Yokkaichi Station, so it was very convenient.

More beautiful and fragrant than Sakura Cherry Blossoms! This Plum blossom forest is a real gem. They collected the finest examples of Plum Blossom trees from the entire country (some over 100 years old), and transported them from as far away as Kyushu to this 1 location to be pampered by the top plum tree specialists in the world.

Visited it on March 6th. It was full bloom but few trees were a bit gloomy, I wish I could visit it few days earlier. Overall, there were cherry bloosom trees too and the view of the pink weeping plum blossoms were amazing! It was expensive but you can't find such good collection of trees in other parks. I was happy to visit it in suh short time.

I would suggest to visit Inabe Bairin plum blossom too, that is more natural and has beautiful mountain view but you need to have sufficient amount of time to walk around and enjoy the 4000trees. Unfortunately, I could not visit it.

Great place to visit. Entry fee is 1,700¥ but totally worthy. Huge parking space and it’s free.

It is like walking into a fairytale. It was an amazing place. They had food available and waiting for the night view was worth it.
