If you can go to other Post Offices, do that. The staff does not deal well with clients, if they think you can't speak or hear Japanese. They aren't able to help you with most things because they panic at the simplest things and try find pamphlets written in English knowing very well there is no such thing. They will oten look for an app you can use, even if you are sending items overseas. It is quite baffling how they will look for things in Japanese instead of help you in Japanese. The will even go the extra mile of going to get an iPad to speak into for even the simplest thing wanting to say things in English when you have already showed them the reason you are there.

I have tried time and time again to use the Post and the Bank but it is almost impossible because they will focus entirely on trying to translate things that are unneccessary. My poor Japanese works in other Posts but alas, here there is some kind of mental blocking aura anyone who isn't Japanese will exude once stepping in. Save yourself the mental frustration if your Japanese isn't perfect and use other posts. Tsumago post will do even if it's nowhere near the train line.
