Don’t miss it guys. This is 1.5 km walk one way. You have to walk back. The walk is easy. All the metal rails along the way are very sturdy. Some parts of the path are wet during water dropping down from the rocks above but not slippery thanks to the sandstone nature. Was claimed by the sign that it would take you 30 min to walk one way but it took me 40. Anywho, I have made it back.

Interesting rock formation along the coastline. Fairly easy to walk but with a lot of steps. Quite a long hike. We didn't complete it all.
Ample parking with a cafe shop at the entrance.
I think it's worth a stop, but plan for more time.

Sea lover will love the sound of the wave. Ice cream is delicious. I bought some oranges and it's really fresh. Only few people come here during my visit. It's quite beautiful and interesting.

You can go back and fourth from your the parking or come back by a tunnel.
I went with my dog (犬)
We had fun 🤩
It was very hot so coming back by the tunnel was nice

A great place to go for a lovely coastal walk along the cliffs. The water here is beautiful and the cliffs are amazing. You can really get a sense of the power of nature by looking at all the erosion and the bent hand rails from the power of the waves. I recommend walking fully to the end and back to experience the whole walk. There is plenty of free parking at the local visitors centre and they sell drinks and snacks should you get hungry or thirsty. It is a little busy at the start of the walk but the further you walk the less people you will see.

Stunning rock formations which shows how powerful nature is! Luckily it was not too crowded, even we visited the place during Golden Week 2023. The complete walk (single way) takes about 15 to 20 minutes. One of the must see places here in Mie prefecture.

A unique coastal outcrop that has a pretty extensive trail that you may probably spend 1-2 hours exploring! The rock formations are really unique, nothing like I have ever seen before. The shops are also an interesting visit with local stone carvings of Wakayama's signature symbols and don't forget to have the tasty orange soft serve after expending energy on the walk!

Nice easy walk around the ocean. About 30 minutes to walk all the way around to the other side. You can walk back same way or keep walking around the road for 10 minutes past local houses to the start of the Kumano Kodo trail & walk back over the hill to where you started at the information carpark 1.5hrs

Beautiful rock formations. Get ready to climb rocks. The area looks like the Almafi Coast in Italy. You can see people fish here. Lots of great photo opportunities. There is free parking, small souvenir shop, restaurant area and washrooms. There are cherry blossoms in the area but you have to be prepared to walk to it.

It's a fun walk around some amazing rock features caused by erosion. A pair of good hiking boots is recommended, sneakers should be fine too. We did the whole trip starting from the East Entrance (in Onigajo Center where we parked our car) and ended in West Entrance, and we had to walk around the dotted line in the map pictured below to get back to East Entrance. (Please don't trust Google Map and just follow this map. Google Map told us to walk through a car only tunnel!)

We walked VERY slowly, often stopped to admire the view, the rock features and take many many pictures, and we finished the whole thing in 2 hours.

It's nothing too challenging, but it's not a walk in the park either. Most of the path have railings so it doesn't feel particularly dangerous as an adult, but if you bring children esp small children, it's probably a good idea not to proceed further than Sanjojiki, unless your children are very well behaved and are used to these kind of environments.

Also a note for people that wishes to go to the top of the hills for the 鬼の見晴台, it is reached through a seperate path started a little bit before the East Entrance (also can refer to the map). It is not accessible while doing the cliff path.

I had no idea this place existed until we stopped here. We came out of the E42 road from Toba, and after an infinite number of tunnels, we needed to take a break. Oh my god, so many tunnels. I think I have now crossed enough tunnels for all of my life.

Anyway, we stopped here for some fresh air and, lo and behold, what an incredible place! The erosion makes the rock look like a tiny corner of an alien world. And with amazing views of the sea to boot.

You ought to plan a stop here on your next trip. It takes about one hour to walk from one side to the next. But you can get enough of it half way through if you need to make the stop quicker.

It was a beautiful sunny winter day, not too windy which makes this a very pleasant trip. Onigajo itself is beautiful and spectacular, it requires you to walk on uneven steps and some parts are quite narrow. It takes about 1 hour to walk to and back.

Stunning natural landscape that is ancient. Take care under foot as the stone is of course weathered being so old.

Coastal trail along rocks with erosion. Worth to visit this unusual heritage site but it is only convenient if you drive.
