●保守バプテスト同盟のなかで，最大規模を誇る， そして豊かな教会です。震災後はいち早くボランティアのサポート体制を整え，沿岸部へ援助を続けています。その働きは，主に豊かに祝されたものとなりつつあります。そして，浸礼 (バプテスマ) にさずかる方々が起こされています。

●かつて塩竈は邪悪な町と，宣教師が母国へ報告された時期があったそうです。

●塩竈神社の神輿が，教会の入口を破壊する行為に断固抗議された，偉大な牧師も塩竈には，住んでおられました。そのような歴史を経て，現在では，大友 幸一牧師，その子息 大友幸証副牧師が精力的な伝道活動と取組んでおります。

●教会堂での礼拝，ホープ宮城でボランティア活動，キッズブラウンしおがまなど，多岐にわたり，力強く前進しております。
