A little too crowded on weekend but its bearable. All staff are friendly and approachable. I really like the hokkaido ice cream. Everytime I go here this is a must.

The US atmosphere, love the vibe here.
The variety of vegetables are limited compared to the states.

For US travelers, your membership will get you in, but you must pay with Mastercard or a Costco linked visa card at checkout. Inventory is more weighted to home goods and carries a nicely diverse set of items about 50% different than US locations and other global stores. Don't miss the local fruits, lettuces, eggs, sushi, and regionally baked items, which will be far superior to what you get in the US.

Costco is excellent. The membership cost is a great deal for imported items at surprisingly reasonable prices. The food court has great food, such as pizza (whole or by the slice) and hot dogs which they famously sell at no profit as a membership benefit. Regrettably, the garden burger was just changed to be a garden pita with different sauce, but maybe that's delicious too? I didn't order it this time. I like to pick up ready-made meals at the back of the store too, such as pastas, brined rotisserie chicken, or ham and cheese roulades. These are great for family dinner or for one person who doesn't want to cook for a few meals. Sometimes when I get busy, this is very beneficial. Their bakery is very good, too. You can buy a cake right away, or order a custom cake 2 days in advance, with a combination of cake, filling, and icing flavors you like and a personalized message. In addition to being a great place for customers, employees are paid well, so everyone benefits. I only wish the Maebashi store was open longer or there was a store closer to home (in Nagano). It's worth the time and gas money though. Thanks for everything, Costco! Especially, thank you for selling these delicious chocolates.

Great place to get oversea products. Generally the same idea as any other Costco abroad. Things are usually sold in bulk (but not necessarily cheaper than supermarkets). There are usually samples, which is nice to grab. The hotdog and drink combo is 180 yen and includes refills for your drink. This place is super busy on weekends so be prepared for a crowd. It can take a while to park especially during lunch time on weekends.

Nice place to buy the week food and some fruit.

Just like an American COSTCO but it's in Japan. Overall great. I actually recommend this place for the best NY style pizza in the area. You can use your American COSTCO membership or your can buy a Japanese one! Totally recommend shopping with friends who you can split certain items with, keeps costs down but you can still get western staples you might not be able to find in Japanese grocery stores....like real cheese.

Amazing. Neat and fresh selection was fabulous. Only thing was international members have to fill out paperwork stating their home address and local address and then a manager has to check it. Not too big a deal but kinda painful everytime you go through the till.

Go there in the evening or afternoon! Morning rush is something there even if it’s a weekday.

I have gone to Costco many times in America and this one felt like I had gone right back. I was so happy to get a membership so I could come and buy some more familiar American foods.

My membership from the United States cannot be renewed here in Japan. Alternatively I could renew my card from the US for $55.

Getting a new similar card in Japan will only cost ¥3500.

It's expensive, since most things are imported, but even so it's comparable to Japanese prices elsewhere, but you get much more. 肉はといぇもおおいしいです!!!

If you're an American from Southern California living in Japan, and you're homesick....this Costco will cure it. Everytime I go, I feel like I'm at Disneyland. It's silly, I know, but I love this place.
