This place has lots of metal steps. Not good idea if you have heart conditions or not in shape for walking. A lady went into cardiac arrest just outside the cave. It took a while for ambulance plus the walk back to the car is a bit far for those not in shape. Wear good shoes pack light.

Nice little place for a short adventure. Around 15 to 20 mins walk in the cave, they have photo shoot signs so you know where to take the best pictures. We also got 2 small clay pots at the village home just outside of the exit.

The caves are coolly lit👍 The hiking trails are cool as the cave comes out of the neighborhood 😂😂😂 I really enjoyed it. There are places to kick it by the kiosk you pay and restrooms. If you go by cab be sure to ask them to stay or you will be hiking to find a cab about 1/4 of a mile north down the road like me and my daughter had to😂😂😂

Feel cool inside the cave! Not so long for a walk, so will be easy to visit and have a look around

Nice place to visit on a hot day. There are many photo spots, interesting stalactites and special spots to make a wish in the cave. A bit slippery and wet inside. 500 yen for the entrance. Parking is available. Ice cream stand is near the ticket booth.

Short cave but interesting if you have not been one before. Only 200 meter will take 30 minutes only.

Great experience, and extremely English friendly signs and information boards. The cave itself is quite short so I would recommend slowing down a bit and taking your photos. When you exit there are some cool scenic views and structures to look at.

If y’all haven’t been, check out the Cave Okinawa, in Uruma. It’s a short trip for most people, and the actual cave only takes about 30 min to see, but it’s cheap, interesting and almost no crowds! Definitely worth the short detour if you’re road tripping around the island

Simple short walk but worth the small price. Kids enjoyed and so did parents. I have gone a second time and will likely bring guests or friends who visit the island there as well.

Only 500¥/per.
It's so cheaper than Okinawa World. But It's only a cave, not have any more activities than others place.

We were looking for something to do before we met up with our son. Using Maps, I searched for things to do and found Cave Okinawa not too far away. There was an affordable ¥500 pp entrance fee and plenty of free parking.

I sometimes am claustrophobic when I visit caves, but this one was not so deep and was rather spacious so I had no issues.

The formations were interesting and the use of colored lights made it beautiful! There was information about the use of the caves by Okinawans during the Battle of Okinawa in WWII.

It was a fun excursion when looking for something to do!

Very siren cave with beautiful ambient. The cave is about .25 miles in all. The starting way seems narrow and scary but opens up towards the middle half of the way.

My kids and I had a few hours to kill before heading to the airport. Due to the pandemic, most of the caves and Okinawa world were closed, but I was pleasantly surprised that Cave Okinawa was open and only a 30 minute drive from where we were staying in Chatan! This cave had surprisingly good vibes (a lot of caves in Okinawa are, well, not happy places). Well lit, comfortably cool escape from the mid August heat and lots of lovely features. The signs constantly remind you of good luck symbols throughout the cave. Red and white ribbon formations, golden formations, a lucky history (it was used as a child birthing place) and a heart shaped "window" at the end that leads out into a medow teaming with colorful butterflies and even a glimpse of a fruit bat! For my kids, this was one of the biggest highlights of the trip!

One of underrated marvels of North Okinawa. It's pretty cheap 500¥ and it's really well maintained. You can click great pictures inside alongside granite rocks. Do visit this place and feel the earth.

Not a huge cave, but easy to do with kids or while baby wearing.

I also wanted to add. It may not be big, but it’s still very fun. If you want a nice adventure for the family you should check it out

A well lit and maintained cave. Easy enough for my 2, 5, and 7 year old to manage. It’s a quick hike up tot he cave and then the cave itself is only 200 hundred meters. It was an hour well spent for us and then another 30 minutes taking turns on the swing they have in the parking lot. I would definitely recommend.

Many years ago, I visited this cave and can tell you, it has come a long way as an attraction. It used to be about an hour crawl and climb, sometimes through hip-deep water, navigating this cave. These days, you no longer have to wear a helmet with a head lamp. The entire cave is well lighted and has stairs with handrails, wooden plank flooring (where necessary) or comfortable dirt trails which make the cave tour less than half an hour. Customers will walk a bit of distance from the ticket office to the cave entrance and from the exit, back to the start. The entire walk is less than 1,000 steps, according to a friend's pace counter. There are toilets near the parking lot at the entrance. Pamphlets, describing the attraction are available at the office.
There are spots inside the cave that may be slippery. Hand sanitizer is avaiable at the entrance and exit to the cavern. Photographers using tripods should be careful of their equipment's footing. Some places the boards along the way are not level and (in spots) you will have to squeeze into narrow passages. Due to Coronavirus and travel restrictions, the attraction is not very busy so, it's possible to take your time if doing photography.
Strollers or wheelchairs are not recommended unless, you are a Hercules who likes to do lots of lifting. Quite and interesting history of the cave may be gained from reading the signs posted within. t's well worth visiting and the price is unbeatable. Don't pass this one up!

Beautiful hidden cave in central Okinawa. This cave served as a hiding spot for hundreds of near by locals during World War II.
