The area was beautiful and peaceful. My friends and I enjoyed tasting the different wines. You're even able to purchase wines that were your favorites. Pricing is not bad either and their are restaurants on site. You can go in and out the wine cellar tasting area also to take breaks and grab a bite in-between tastings or just roam the grounds and take in the scenery.

Wine paradise of Japan.
Do not spend much time on tasting at the starting move steadily and you will be rewarded with better options.
Look at the price tags at the shelves with unopened bottles alone the path, that will give you good hints which one to try.
Consider snicking in some snacks, that will make tasting experience much better.

Great place to try Wine! The Wine cave was closed I get there, but there is Wine Test where you can put coin in it. The price was 1,100 for 10 coins. They have on the 1st floor and 2nd floor. They also have non-alcohol for 100 yen The view on the 2nd floor was great! They sell many kinds of wines, so after the wine testing you can it at the store. This place also has onsen (seperate entrance fee), BBQ place, Restaurant, a hotel, etc. You can walk 18 minutes from the nearest station, take the taxi, or a bus (that seldom comes). Overall, if you like wine tasting, this place is recommended!

This is an excellent place to get an overview of the Yamanashi wineries, and the different expressions of the Koshu and Muscat Bailey A grapes. At ¥1500 it's amazing value for money: you'll pay ¥1000 at many individual wineries for tasting. That includes a tasting cup and serve-yourself access to more than 100 wines. You can exit the cave (as I did after the whites, to get some food in the cafe) then return. Wines are available for purchase and there's a good range of prices. The grounds are very pleasant and there are great views across to the mountains.

Go to this hotel! This place was awesome! The grounds were beautiful and you MUST visit their wine cellar. Their cellar cost 1500 yen and you can try about 100 different types of wine and then you have the opportunity to buy any of your favorites afterwards. The onsen was very clean and had a nice view of Yamanashi as well.

Great view, great spot to relax and most of all best tasting offer. Budo no Oka showcases most of the wineries of the city. for 1600yen, you get your Tastevin and you can just enjoy the 200 wines on display in the underground cellar.

Their Yakiniku feast is worth the trip! The meats and rice are so delicious and the view so scenic that you'll go out of the place both tummy and eye-satisfied! They have a portion there where you can view the valley and take beautiful pictures worth for a profile picture change! There is also this huge rock where you can propose for your beloved in a really romantic manner!

We absolutely love this hotel and restaurant and especially the winery! Price is very reasonable selections are out of this world… The hotel rooms are kind of old… But they’re very well-maintained and very large! We will definitely be back! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Wine tasting only costs ¥1,500 and it was worth it! Different wine to taste then you can buy the wine that you like afterwards! You can drink all you want until 5 pm!

I cannot recommend this enough as a day trip for wine lovers! Easy (and affordable) to get to on the JR chuo line + a short taxi ride from katsunumabudokyo station. Go on a sunny day and the scenery of a grapevine filled valley in the mountains is just breathtaking. To taste the wines of the region you simply pay ¥1100 for a tastevin which you can keep afterwards. Japanese wines are very unique - super grapey and sweet as the koshu region uses eating grapes, though there are a few selections more familiar to the western palette. The restaurant and onsen on site are great and perfect additions to a day out wine tasting.

Wine tourism in Japan. Make sure you pay the 1100 yen to go down into the cellar and try the wines. You can take the cup too..
