Such a relaxing homey place to take a break and drink some tea, located right next to the Higashi Chaya district, this place is free of the tourist crowds unlike other cafes in the area. The owner was bath friendly and knew a little bit English, they had an English menu when we came :)) we got some sweet adzuki mochi soup, ice tea and confectionary as well as a wonderfully freshly hand ground and brewed iced coffee. The weather was nice so the owner opened the door to the small garden, which was a nice touch.

This restaurant was previously house of Geiko. English menu seems not available, but in this cafe you can feel classic real life of people in this area. Not so popular but very good place to enjoy cultural experience! Bocha set (photo) and Butanpo (mashed rice and pork bar) is highly recommended!!)

Lovely little tea and food shop. A very nice patron, who draws your picture as a souvenir of your visit with no charge.

Very nice place with good tea and very cosy atmosphere of traditional Japanese house. There is an English menu. Definitely worth a visit.

ひがし茶屋のメイン通りから、少し外れた場所にあるからか、静かなのと、建物や内装がとても素敵です。
お値段も良心的で、物価の高いこちらでやっていけるの？と思っちゃいます。
店主も気さくな方で、話が弾みます。
黒電話や蓄音機があるのと、70年代？もっと古いものもあるのかな？漫画が置いてあり、読むこともできます。
その年代だけでなく、若い方にもぜひ手に取ってみてもらいたいです。
散策に疲れたら、立ち寄ってみてください。

Increíble negocio familiar que permite visitar una casa japonesa por dentro. La bebida de vinagre y miel era muy exótica y estaba muy rica, junto con el té y un dulce que pedimos. El propietario se portó muy bien con nosotros. Muchas gracias por el dibujo!

店主の集めてた漫画コレクションが圧巻。昭和40年代のガロがそのまま保存されていたり、これを見るためだけに訪れる価値がある。

10代の頃、漫画好きだったことから漫画家を夢見たことがある店主が描いてくれる似顔絵イラストは心をホッコリさせてくれる。

休憩処が少ないひがし茶屋街でオススメのスポットです。
