Sakurai Futamigaura's Couple Stones

We drove to Sakurai Futamigaura Couple Stones in Itoshima from Tenjin, which took around 50 minutes without any traffic 🚗. The visit was absolutely worth our time. The landmark, known for its iconic and special white torii gate standing in the sea and two giant rocks joined by a shimenawa rope, is breathtaking 🌊. It's perfect for couples due to its romantic history and symbolism of happy marriage 💑. Arriving around 11 am, we found it already bustling with visitors keen to capture its beauty 📸. Highly recommended for a unique and picturesque experience, especially for those seeking a romantic outing.

One unique torii, two beautiful couple stones, soft waves and breathtaking sunsets are what you'd experience here. The afterglow is marvellous, be sure to capture every moment of the sunsetting. A nice photo can be taken placing the sun in between the torii pillars.
Not sure about other days but my experience was that there were not so many people but it looks like there gets to be many people cos of the facilities around. All in all, it's beautiful. Enjoy!

A great place to visit to see the couple's stone as well as the beautiful seaside landscape. It's an easy drive from fukuoka and well worth the visit! Highly recommended!

A must visit to all couples out there. The place is less than an hour drive from the center of Fukuoka. No hustle with a place for parking in the area and resto to dine in. It will not take much of your time staying in the place but surely a worth visit. A sacred couple rock that symbolizes marriage made it more lovely with its scenic beauty, imagine you and your partner in it.

I visited this spot during sunset hours, there weren't many tourists, and the view was very beautiful. Watching the sunset and feeling the sea breeze was really amazing.

Takes an hour and a few minutes to get there from Hakata station, on the way there we took a train and a bus but on the way back we were able to take just one bus the whole way. Today was a rainy cloudy day and while google said it was busier than usual, we got there with only a few others also there. Shortly after we got there, a bus full of people arrived but it was rainy and the wind was picking up so they did not stay.

The bus comes about every hour so prepare accordingly. My partner and I brought a tripod to take our own pictures but the wind was too strong. Thankfully another visitor took our photos (thank you!)

This is one of the most beautiful places in Kyushu. There's a bar by the beach, and many props within 5 minutes walking distance you could take amazing pictures with the family.

We went there in early April, so the weather is still chilly and windy. Accesible and with couple of stores to have some food and drinks. Toilet is bit smelly. The place itself is scenic, clean and beautiful, and maybe specially during sunset. We weren't able to witness it ourselves, but I guess it must be gorgeous. Perfect for photo op depending on your preference.

A wonderful sea side shrine. This is a perfect place for couples to go and enjoy a walk on the beach especially around sunset. Parking is close and at low tide you can stand under the torii gate for some amazing pictures.

Nice place to watch sunset with Japanese signature torii. Quite romantic for couples to watch sunset here together.

A bit far and not very well connected if you go by bus, but other than that, it’s beautiful and recommended as a day trip from Fukuoka.

300 yen parking space around. Very photogenic in such a blue sky. Worth coming.

Beautiful place to relax by the beach. If you have nothing much to do at Hakata, you can take the side trip to Iseshima.
Its famous for its laid back atmosphere, free from city stress...
So i gave it 5 stars.
To be honest, other than this meota iwa, there is nothing to do here.
You can do cafe hopping and enjoy the sea views...
You need to hire a car to get here as transportation is scarce in Itoshima...paid parking is easily available just opposite the rocks..

A crazily beautiful place but really require quite some walk if you’re just taking off from a bus. Better go there with a car

This is a place where even novice people can take amazing photos. There is an hourly bus from fukuoka and cost about 1000yen one way.

Beautiful scenery. I wish we had the opportunity to go on a sunny day, but even with the clouds it was nonetheless majestic. Very Instagramable. We got there by bus! Drops you off right at the area and you can walk to nearby cafés!
