domestic airport. small but good airport.

no need to come too early. 1.5 hours is enough

I choose this airport to transfer at haneda rather than using kansai to flight directly to my country.

itami is close to the city. only 20 min from dotonburi

Amazing airport with a lot of choice for shopping & dining. Very friendly staff who can help out if you need it.

Itami Airport serves japan domestic flight from osaka. There is a monorail service directly to the airport from Danichi station, which i took to get here.
I searched for subway or JR train from osaka station or umeda, but there wasn't any better choice other than buses. The airport itself is very comfortable, a lot of shops and foods are available for passangers inside and outside the terminal.

Located in the top 5 main and largest airports in Japan, Kansai International Airport, Osaka Bay, is the first airport in the world built on the sea. To move from Kansai airport to Osaka city center, you can choose to travel by means of transport such as bus, train, taxi,... To build this airport, the Japanese spent 20 years. years to create an artificial island in Osaka Bay. It was not until 1987 that Kansai airport construction officially began and went into operation 7 years later, in 1994.

Always fast service. Large check-in areas, lots of great new restaurants, the monorail station is right there, security is always fast. Great local airport. The only downside is that the actual departure gate waiting areas are pretty dated, and some are lacking any kind of food options. My flights from here are always on time.

Osaka International Airport, more commonly known as “Itami” (ITA), is much smaller and closer to the city center than Kansai International Airport.

Although the easiest way to access ITA (from Osaka) is by airport bus, you can also take a train followed by a monorail. Either way, you can get to ITA much quicker than going to KIX.

I was also pretty impressed by the number as well as the quality of the restaurants after security (in South Terminal). All my photos are the shops and restaurants from South Terminal after security.

If I get to choose between ITA and KIX, I will choose ITA in a heartbeat!

A mid-size airport that is very well organized with a great layout plan. Building is divided into North and South wings which clearly each wing is being operated by an airline. Waiting areas are aplenty with many different types of seats. The souvenir shops and restaurants are great and not overpriced at all so if you plan to shop for omiyake then you can shop at this airport. But no gashapon machine though, this is the only downsize that I can see here LOL.

Efficient airport at Japan. Well connected by subway and buses to different cities nearby like Himeji, Kyoto etc. Some very popular food options once you cross the security like Rikuros cheesecake. Plan for an extra 45 mins incase you want to buy cheesecake. I can assure you it will be worth the wait so long as you do not miss your flights...

It’s good and modern hub airport in Kansas area! Not huge but they have enough facilities to take flight. Not only or passengers but also for everything there are many nice restaurants and shops. I like the roof observatory here. You can see good view! Recently just reformed so comfortable facility! It’s good place to access as well! Enjoy!

Somewhat easy to understand airport with a packed space. Lots of restaurants and shop near the arrival gate. The atmosphere is clean and tidy. It is connected to limousines bus, Osaka monorail, and of course taxis. Very crowded but still in order. Going up and down the floor, you can use the elevators located in most places here.

Terrific airport. Such amazingly helpful staff here. Only in Japan do they provide you with slippers if you are required to remove your shoes at security! There are not a lot of shops after security, but there are a few nice restaurants.
There are tables and chairs at the gates for business people to do their work whilst waiting for their flight. Again, only in Japan! I wish all airports in the world would learn from the Japanese.

I love this airport! Especially how the souvenir and restaurant/cafe area is distributed. The doragaki I bought was so delicious too! Seems like the goods are quite well selected!

Out of the airport at the monorail station, there was even a cute street piano! Worth taking a look and maybe playing :)

One of my favorite airport in Japan. The car rental company is just nearby. The JR is right at the exit of the airport. Easy access from Osaka. Very clean and well maintain.

i used to go to kansai but when the flights changed i found i had to fly to haneda and then on to itami.
i am so pleased that happened as itami is a wonderful airport.
i am impressed with its cleanliness and helpful staff, the shops and restaurants are very good.
observation deck is brilliant with places to eat and drink.
overall a very good airport to use. i even spent a day of my holiday there for fun.

There are some child-friendly facilities in the airport terminal. Nursing room is clean and quiet, and has hot water server, benches and microwave etc. You can get diapers by vending machine.

Easy access from monorail, spotlessly clean, fast internet, plenty of electrical outlets, good range of shops and eating options.

The airport is very secured I must say and the staff are very helpful. When I came out of the arrival lounge, I was looking around and suddenly a well-dressed gentleman approached me very politely whether I need any help. Later I figured out he was a police officer. On the departure queue, I was terribly late and about to miss the flight. The staff were annoyed but helped me through.

Very quick security, great food court in north terminal. Ramen spot was awesome. Super clean, seems like they just renovated the airport.

Nice airport with lots of restaurants in 3 floors in and outside of security. Not too expensive. Restrooms are clean. Japanese perfection.
