Dana Tower Hotel

An authentic hotel with cave rooms that may not appeal to everyone. Accommodation with a long tradition and excellent local cuisine. Very nice and funny owner.

Many place to stay - the hotel is located in the old Dana village giving it a very authentic and traditional feel. The people running the hotel are the most kind and have great knowledge of the reserve.

Amazing place to stay! Location is absolutely stunning. Best food I have ever had in the evenings. And really good tea. The guide we had for the hikes was the best we could ever wished for. Really nice people. After a hike the hotel is very well suited to relax and rest. When you visit Jordan please have a stay here on your way to Petra.

We paid 60jd for a triple room with a private bathroom. It was beautiful and the staff were incredibly friendly. The dinner was a fabulous buffet of lots of local dishes; vegetarian, lamb dishes, chicken dishes and so many salads! They kept on insisting we eat more, so friendly and hospitable.

a fantastic place to rest! the buffet dinner is spectacular, and the buffet breakfast was also delicious! the rooms have everything you need and the beds are very comfortable, but the best of all the staff! They help you with everything and if you need any information to do a trek through Dana they don't hesitate to inform you! It has been a wonderful stay, do not hesitate to stay!

An exemplary place. Located in the little mountain village, it directly overlooks the canyon. A few hikes start directly from here. Other tracks are a little drive away. The hotel has a wide selection of Guides that can take care of any such wish.
As for the hotel itself: it’s splendid. Not as in highly luxurious, more as in cute and cozy mountain stay. The manager is always around and very approachable. He seems a real good-humoured guy.
The buffet dinner is simply amazing. Exactly what you need after a day’s hiking. I thought it was among the best food I had in Jordan (to that point).
The rooms are simple but cute. Scattered all over the place are different rooms and places to rest and enjoy the views.

One of the most special places I have ever stayed. Charming little village, the people are very knowledgeable and friendly and they can answer any query you have. The food was absolutely amazing, one of the best we had in all of Jordan. We went on a hike in the nature reserve with a guide who showed us the best places, rock figures and made amazing tea! We absolutely loved every minute at this place. We stayed 3 nights and we would have stayed more. The village is magical, the hotel is cosy, the food is incredible and the staff is the friendliest and more welcoming you could ever ask. Owner of the property is super friendly and so is all the staff. Special thanks to Salma who cooked the nicest meals and breakfast and welcomed us always with a smile. Also her colleague serving tea, special thanks to both of them. They have a great team of people and the location is absolutely magical. I can't recommend enough this place. Very genuine beduin experience. Best place to go!

Best place to share a real experience of Jordanians hospitality. First, the staff is very helpful and make us feel like home. Then, you can enjoy a great meal (truly the best one we had during our trip). The last day, we had a 2h trek with salaam, and it was once again a very great experience. Salaam was so kind and very attentive to our needs, probably our best experience in Jordan, thanks to all the staff and Salaam!

Amazing hotel located in Dana village. The rooms are spread between few stone houses and have so much spirit. The staff is soo nice. Great peoples, very friendly, warm and welcoming. Every room is special and different, beautiful! Really enjoyed our stay here. The dinner was perfect, the best food we had in Jordan. The village is statting point for many hiking trails, you could get a guide from the hotel and enjoy Dana Preserve. Wish you all the best guys, thanks!

One of the few remaining hotels in the old city of Dana.

You will be welcomed like an old friend, dinner and breakfast is a group experience with great local food! The rooms are good, the hotel and landscape extremely quiet. Be aware of the strong winds into the valley after the sunset :)

Very simple rooms, but the hospitality is above and beyond. Manager was super friendly, and we had a truly wonderful time - its a very social place. Dinner is not to be missed either! Hotel team willing and able to arrange various hikes and lunches, and parking you up with other hikers to make it cheaper for you. Laundry service very much appreciated.

Authentic as it can be. Recovered from ruins of an ancient village, the hotel is like a maze of corridors and stairs. Rooms are a bit improvised but clean and convinient. Not all rooms are same, some are better, some are less. Hot water in the shower are avilable with a small electric water tank, but when many visitors take shower, the pressure is very poor. Served Food is excelent middle-eastern with an Indian touch, from the Bangladeshi cooking lady. Most dishes are vegan so it was a great feast for us. The stuff is extremely friendly and willing to help.

We had an amazing stay at the hotel. We got some nice welcome tea and great information about the reservat. Few meters from the hotel there is an amazing view with an incredible sunset. the dinner in the big room was also amazing. Hazem and the staff were really great hosts and always do "the extra mile".

This is the place to go for backpackers in Dana - similar experience to a bedouin camp. 20 Dinars for a private room which includes a really good dinner and breakfast buffet. The owner Hazem is very friendly - speaks good english, knows all the trails and can organize rides to any trail head (I strongly recommend Wadi Ghuweir). There is a balcony with a beautiful view of the sunset. 10-15 visitors for every night of my stay, it's very popular and everyone is sociable. There is wifi and all the basic accommodations you would need.

We had a great stay at the tower hotel, they can provide with dinner and breakfast if you ask them in advance. This is really useful because this wonderful town is small and you don't really have other options.
They also have a shop to buy basics like biscuits and water.
WiFi is slow and only close to administration area but at least you have access to Internet for free.
Town is a bit noisy because of the animals (dogs, donkeys...) But generally quiet.
Rooms provide all you could expect and are nicely decorated. Shower doesn't have a strong stream but it works.
We had a great night of dancing and drums with owners, however if you're worried about the noise, it ended up before 10 so everybody could sleep.
Would definitely recommend.

This was a really nice an authentic stay. The bedroom was not our - but it was clean. The food was very good (breakfast and dinner). You have a nice view to the sunset from the rooftop. And you can enjoy the stay in one of the sit lounges. We loved our stay here!

Hazem, Salem are warm and friendly. The location of Dana Tower Hotel is the best location among all hotels.
It's amazing how the place feels home and even better.
The cleanliness of the place is outstanding.
The rooms are so beautiful and a lot of the rooms are with a magical view.
My room balcony overlooked the magistitc mountains, I was able to watch the sunrise and sunset from the room's window.
I will definitely visit again in the near future.

Best place for backpackers. We love the vibes there. Hazem, the owner of the place, is so kind and helfull. He is also a musician so maybe you will have the chance to be there when
there is live music. The staff is very professional. You can sleep there for cheap and even pitch your tent in the roof. They also have very nice rooms for other budgets. The food is delicious. Bathrooms are cleans. I recommand !!
