Dana Gate Rest house

The food and drinks were delicious and fresh, I recommend it, glad we tried it. The staff were very nice. 3 freshly made drinks, 2 waters and 2 main courses cost 29 dinars. I don't know if this is too much or too little, but it was definitely worth it for us.

After reading all reviews, I was quite sceptic, BUT then I was quite satisfied. The food was good (lamb + hummus + bread), 7JOD pp. We received complimentary water and chocolate for both of us (and it was really free :)). Parking lots are in front of restaurant. It is also gift shop and small food shop (they have an ice cream :))

The perfect place to take a break during the long way to Petra. Good food without spending, parking, and free Wi-Fi are available. There are also various locally crafted products. Highly recommended!

This was my favorite experience in all of Jordan. Saleh, the manager, is an incredible man with the kindest of hearts, and his brother, Amer, is an incredible cook. I arrived late with 2 of my friends, and he invited us in and made us feel at home. He shared stories about his family and his life. The fish fillet was delicious, and the fresh mint lemonade was some of the best Jordan has to offer. I would definitely go back and hope I have another chance to meet with such incredible hosts.

If you are taking the long drive down to Petra, definitely stop at Dana Gate Rest House to fill your tummies with yummy food and meet two of the greatest men you might ever meet.

Very nice and comfortable place , after long journey from Dead Sea , we chilled in clean place , nice food and fresh lemon with mint juice ,
Prices are fair and they accept card .

Cute kind place. The owner is very kind, we wanted to stay for a few minutes, get a sandwich and go but he offered us tea with the sandwich and gave us water as well. Brought his heater to keep us warm even though we didnt stay for long:)

Great coffe and fresh orange juice. Owner was very nice. You can sit outside or inside or buy some souvenirs. There is a toilet.

Stopped for lunch on the way from wadi Rum to Dead Sea. Very nice food with a rice and vegetables with fried chicken on top. Also great coffee that is infused with a bit of cardamon. Guy who runs the place is really nice and speaks very good English. Best stop we saw on the way.

Easy to find, good parking, Sal was very nice and gave us lots of great information! The food was good too! Local craft to take back home. They accept card as well.
