Khirbet Al-Dharieh

It took a while to get there via tiny dirt road. It is fences, but accessible. Ruins have many well preserved detailed carvings.
As we were the only visitors at the time, it felt really nice and secluded. Spent about 15min there.

Worth to see even if it is not easy to reach

Beautiful historical place

خربة الذريح هي موقع أثري لقرية نبطية ومعبد نبطي ضخم في جنوب الأردن في مدينة الطفيلة على بعد 100 كم شمال البتراء. تعود أقدم الآثار هنا إلى العصر الحجري الحديث في بلاد الشام وبالتحديد إلى العصر الحجري الحديث الفخاري (Pottery Neolithic (P.N الذي يؤرخ ما بين 6000- 4000 قبل الميلاد. ويخبرنا معجم تاج العروس بأن معنى الذَّرِيح في العربية الهِضابُ، ومفردها الذَّرِيحةُ وهذا وارد لوجود الموقع بمنطقة شبه جبلية ولأن لغة الأنباط كانت من لهجات اللغة العربية وإن لم تكن فصحى قرشيَّة.

خربة الضريح المعبد النبطي في وادي اللعبان يقع على امتداد طريق الطفيله الكرك هذا المعبد من المعالم السياحية الشهيرة وكذلك المنتجع الثاني لهم جبل التنور منتجع ملوك الانباط اثناء زيارتهم حمامات عفرا

A remarkable Nabatean Temple with some really nice carvings. It has been partially rebuilt with lots of design elements still lying around including an oil press. A short detour from the highway, don't be afraid to drive on a narrow gravel road, it's not that bad. I really love this temple, very different from Petra but in some ways the same. I would highly recommend visiting it to have a better understanding of Nabatean architecture.

Very nice place

Von der Hauptstraße über eine schlechte Schotterstraße nach etwa 2 km sind die Überreste eines nabatäischen Tempels (etwa 100n.Ch.) mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Er liegt an der ehemals wichtigsten Karawanenstraße von Petra nach Norden. Die Anlage ist eingezäunt, das Tor aber leicht zu öffnen. An den Resten des Tempels ist teilweise noch immer seine einstige Schönheit zu erkennen. Der kurze Abstecher lohnt sich trotz holprigem Schotterweg.

Khirbet al-Dhrih is the archaeological site of a Nabatean village and a huge Nabatean temple in southern Jordan in the city of Tafila, 100 km north of Petra. The oldest antiquities here date back to the Neolithic period in the Levant, specifically to the Pottery Neolithic (P.N.), which dates between 6000-4000 BC. The Taj al-Arous lexicon tells us that the meaning of al-dhireh in Arabic is the hills, and its singular is the dhira, and this is due to the presence of the site in an area It is semi-mountainous, and because the Nabatean language was a dialect of the Arabic language, even if it was not a Quraysh standard

El camino para llegar no está asfaltado y es un poco chungo...pero se llega

You have to walk there longer distance and in my opinion its not that worthy… (in case you have much time than ok..) but many photos on review are not from this place!

El camino se encuentra en mal estado y no es muy relevante el lugar. No recomiendo parar
