Umm Qais Rest House

It’s all about the location, here. Umm Qais Rest House, is located in the extreme northwest of Jordan with a breathtaking view overlooking the Jordan Valley and Galilee lake, bordering Syria and Palestine. The restaurant is located in archeological site of the #Decapolis period and was once a school for children.

Old restaurant overlooking Galilee lake and through the Um Qais monuments. The service was outstanding, view is the best thing, but quality of food tastes somehow greasy. Would love to come here again!

I had the chance to visit this place on the 1st of Jan, 2023 with my friends! The food was amazingly delicious and the atmosphere was very relatable to the Jordanian culture which was great.

The location is unique, with an amazing view over tabariya lake, al golan heights, and the west.

I recommend everything on the menu, we ordered Kobbeh, tabboleh, greek salad, meat sajyeh, fries and Sambosek and they were amazing

Beautiful rest house with nice outdoor and indoor area. They have a gift shop with handmade souvenirs, all made by the village ladies. 2 historic museums.

Totally stunning hilltop location. Good food and efficient service. iconic views. Highly recommended if you are visiting this location. Allow at least 90 minutes to soak up the atmosphere.

The view is unbeatable in the spring! It was easy to get a table for 4 outside for sunset on a Saturday night. Limited menu options, but food was tasty.

Omm Qais is must place to visit whether you are living or visiting Jordan. The views are scenic and wonderful over the mountains and Lake Tiberias. The restaurant is on the top of the hill and you can enjoy some authentic Arabic and Jordanian dishes. Service is also good. If you are in Omm Qais I recommend this place for lunch or dinner before or after you walk around the ancient roman site.
