Murshed Motel - شقق مرشد الفندقية

Owner Zacharia is very welcoming and friendly. Food is great, rooms are clean and the view is amazing. The only negative i could find is that however we had a nice kitchen in our room, there are no plates, only one set of cutlery.

Absolute beautiful place. Don't expect 5 star luxury room, but you don't need any if you'll see the view. All rooms are big and simple.
Own bathroom and good shower. Also the owner Zacharia is very welcoming and you can have a nice chat with him. He invited us into his house to drink some tea and talk about his live.
His wife made some delicious food as diner and also breakfast was perfect. Before we left we got some oranges out of his garden and he gave us a nice route to Umm Qais.

Top place, very friendly host. Mr. Colonel Z. is great person welcoming in his house. Good cottage breakfast. Very helpful host. Home feeling. Top place. Wish to visit again.

The friendliest welcome I ever experienced. Owner Zacharia is an amazing man who built this place from the ground. Rooms are huge and clean and the view is amazing. In the evening we joined Zacharia around the pool for great conversations with sweet tea and watermelon.

One of my favorite places in my 2 weeks in Jordan. Zacharia (the owner) is very hospitable. Likes to talk and hang out with his guests. He is very friendly and we learned a lot from him. The place is a bit remote but it's must-stay when visiting Umm Qais. Zacharia is very connected and anything you need in the area he can help you out. Rooms were very big, with AC, honestly can't mention anything negative

The accommodations are perfectly adequate, it's not a 5 star hotel, but you know that. The five stars are for the proprietor of this establishment - he is engaging and fun to talk to - lives next door to the 4 unit hotel he built.

Definitely do dinner there with him and the other guests.

The view is also spectacular, I had the top floor room and it was amazing, big windows overlooking the lake.

One downside to note is if you are a light sleeper, the dogs next door will keep you up all night. Bring earplugs and/or a white noise machine.

We stayed here with my family for a weekend getaway. The motel provides superb views of th Wadi Al-Arab dam and the owners are super sweet and hospitable. The food was really good. Highly recommend!

Located up in the northern parts of Jordan in the rural (perfect experience to ditch the noisy city and live the genuine Jordanian country life) , our 2nights was awesome this is not 5* hotel but 5* treatment it is clean spacious and provides u directly to this magical view of green mountains and the pond.The owner Abu Zaid is a solemn hospitable friendly and very helpful and will guide u throughout your stay.
Don’t forget to ask for a homemade meal .I'll recommend this stay to every couple and families:). You wont regret plus on the way to Ajlun , Borqosh forest and Um Qais ..

Good guesthouse with nice staff

Let me start by saying, "This place is amazing, if you are in Jordan you should experience it".

The owner will do everything in his power to help/assist/guide/entertain you, you will talk with him and his family for hours and hours and you will love every second of it.

Please keep in your mind this is a small village so expect small village things outside the house, but inside you will have your TV, Air condition, Fast internet and a killer view of the Dam.

Finding the place is easy with GPS and Google maps, if you get lost just call Mr. Zakaria and he will guide you.

This place is best with a Car, you can go to Um Qais with 30 min drive in one of the best roads I have ever seen between 3 countries, ask the owner about the things you can go near and he knows alot of amazing spots.

Thank you Mr. Zakaria and the family, we went for a vacation and we got an amazing experience and we made new friends.

Location and the host. Both are unparalleled in their reception of guests. Colonel who runs the hotel is truly helpful. Mostly diplomats stay here. Do arrive before sunset . Huge stay and reasonably priced.

The owner of the property. Set in the hills this exquisite property offers more than basic amenities and thats ...the colonel ( owner) khidamath ( hospitality ) . From the moment of our late arrival ,his presence at the main gate. Helping us to park our own car under his portico,to welcoming us inside his house for welcoming drinks chocolates and making us feel AT HOME AWAY FROM HOME. Spectacular location . Guests can play ping pong. Barbecue and shisha ( Hubble bubble ) can be arranged on request. Wonderful Jordanian breakfast on a platter. And absolute privacy all throughout. Safety ensured as it's next to an army camp. The rooms are huge most of them with balcony overlooking the river dam . Backdrop is scintillating whether it's night or day. A must for all visitors to Jordan. The strategic advantage of this property is it's proximity to UMM QAIS - PELLA which should be on your bucket list while in the land of the nabaeteans. Let me also share that I had a dead car battery other day of my departure and the way he sorted everything was remarkable . It was eid and so difficult to find a mechanic. But he did over the top offered us lunch and didn't leave us in the lurch. God bless him and his family for taking care of mine family. I am really indebted. Shukran Jazeera.

Most hotels I've visited in my life are unpersonal places that make you feel like an unimportant passersby. Your room may be comfortable and clean, but you're always reminded of the fact that it's just a temporary place to go sleep and wake up again. Murshed is already fantastic for its tastefully designed rooms and for the stunning view of three different countries from your balcony. But that's not what made my stay into such an unforgettable experience. Its owners -Zakaria and Oumayma- share a contagious passion for connecting the lives of complete strangers and turn everyone's stay into an unforgettable social event.One day in Murshed feels like coming home somewhere you never knew that you'd belong.
