A very nice ancient getting you 200 years back, has many ancients inside from various periods of old urbanizations.
With symbolic fees at arrival in the front office.

A great destination to those who enjoy looking back at Jordanian culture. It is calm, mesmerizing and people who work there are so friendly.

I loved it's style, the staff are so friendly, the place is very interesting, it was built in 1886 in the time of Osman empire, became later a prison, and in 1994 it was reformed to become again, a museum.. I recommend it if you are looking for beauty and simplicity in history, it worths a visit !! You can come alone no one will bother you, or you can come within a group, all good, it's calm !! The entrance costs 0.25 JD for jordanians, and 2.50 JD for foreigners !! It's cheap anyway..!!

I really enjoyed this museum. It is one of two main museums in Irbid. It is really cool because originally the structure was an Ottoman Castle, abandoned, turned into a prison, and finally turned into a museum. The architecture of the building is typical Ottoman style with beautiful rocks, and the museum itself has many artifacts to see. Especially mosaics floors they have taken from older excavation sited. The entrance is not expensive and is a must visit if you are in Irbid.

Must see if you visited Irbid city, one of the last remaining Ottoman castles in Jordan, now turned to be a museum where you can see rare ancients ruins from greek, roman and other past civilizations.

Great museum, showing a review of history of the their lands since bronze age to Ottoman period. Placed in an Ottoman ex-prison.
