Windjammer Villa

Enjoyed a 15 day vacation in Silversands Jamaica and stayed at the Windjammer villa. Chef Otis and his staff Tashimo and Bridgit prepared topnotch Jamaican meals. He sourced the freshest fruits and vegetables and meats(lobster and seafood) and served the most delicious meals. Their aim was to create a hospital and charming Jamaican stay for us. We stayed in the 4th bedroom which was a separate building on the pool area. Very private and comfortable. This experience exceeded our expectations. The public beach was well cared and ample furniture in the shade was provided. Enjoyed many beach days swimming in the waves, snorkeling, and enjoying the views and the soft breezes from the sea. We also took in a fabulous deep tissue massage that was arranged by Silver sands. The drivers for our privately arranged tours were excellent. Very safe drivers.

We spent a lovely 2 weeks at Windjammer with 6 other friends. Chef Otis kept us well fed with amazing Jamaican cuisine, which we had requested. His fish and chicken were exceptional, as were his Caribbean-inspired desserts. Our brunches were out of this world, again with a focus on local foods. We couldn't be happier with the food. Did I mention the desserts?!

The housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. The bedrooms were all comfortable and well laid out. But it's the view from the patio that is the icing in the cake--the view was an absolute stunner!!!! We're already planning a return trip here to this villa ❤

Forty-Seven years at Silver Sands and Windjammer (our second stay here, out of 12 villas altogether) has been a great joy! Eileen and Cassandra made us feel right at home, and Ken’s cooking and care were beyond compare. The house and the staff both hit the sweet spot between not enough and too much—just right! The view from the verandah with morning coffee (already prepared by Ken) never gets old, the location is perfect, the beds truly comfortable, the food fab and fresh. There is space both for privacy and for group fun. We had six adult kids with us most of the time and the house worked well, and it worked equally well when it was just the two of us. I can’t say enough about the house, and more so of the staff, and if I had my way I’d be right back at Windjammer every year. A million stars!

My girls and I had a FABULOUS summer stay at the Windjammer. Caretakers Miss Eileen and Cassie took very good care of us too. My favourite memories are sipping on a cup of coffee in the mornings overlooking a gorgeous beach horizon and the 1min trek down the crystalline waters. This is a must-stat location when in Trelawny!
