One Rhythm Villa

I thought a lot about what this beautiful villa has meant to us over this trip. The word that keeps coming into my mind is haven. If you are looking for a place to slow down, read a great book on the beach, get to know a really special culture, and eat the best food of your life, this is where you should stay.

I can’t express how wonderful the house caretaker, Miss Annette, is. We have gone twice to one rhythm and both times, she has been absolutely incredible! She is just the right combination of sassy and loving. We consider her a dear friend and she goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect.

We were also really blessed to have an amazing driver named Kirk that took us to Martha Brae and the Luminous Lagoon. Both were really fun!

The first time we went, we went for four days and it was definitely not enough time. I encourage you to go like we did, for a week. We will be dreaming of when we can go back to Jamaica again, and be among the most wonderful people on earth :-)

Beautiful villa on a corner plot, lush garden with ample seating and lounging. Inside the house was spotless with classic Jamaican beach decor. Spacious two bedroom with very good AC and comfortable beds, bathrooms are roomier with one occupant at a time. ASK ABOUT HOT WATER, we didn’t get hot water till the morning we left. It is a one minute walk to the beach, beautiful, clear turquoise water with great snorkeling opportunities.

We made the mistake of asking the staff to shop for our meals prior to our arrival, when we should have gone ourselves, there was enough food for 4 people when there were only 3 of us. The conversion rate from JMD to USD was lower than what I was used to paying. CARRY JAMAICAN CASH IF YOU CAN, otherwise you will be paying more in US.

Ms. Annette was the only staff on property, she prepares the meals (all delicious), makes sure the villa is spotless and will arrange activities if you wish. If you are okay with staff with you all day, by all means, however, I found her presence a little overwhelming (that’s just me). I asked how long she would be here till, and she seemed offended that I would ask (she didn’t respond). On the other hand I ask if a 6:30pm dinner was alright, and she scouled at me, then told me it was okay 🤷🏽‍♀. We had requested fish and lobster for the last night, but the local fishermen were unable to provide, no fault of anyone’s. We told miss Annette a chicken dinner would suffice, and my boyfriend and I agreed to run to the supermarket to buy our chicken. Miss Annette tagged along to buy groceries for the guests after us, I was not a fan of that at all.

Overall our stay was great, if it were possible to rent again without staff, I think we would. The area is very safe and nice, the beach is definitely the main attraction and the locals are very friendly.

The experience of a lifetime. From the time we arrived till we left we were taken care of. Ms. Annette is a wonderful Jamaican cook. The food was excellent. Ms. Sandra also did an excellent job, kind and a good cook. The beach and weather were like nothing compared to the states. We came home to 30 degree weather. We will come back hopefully next year. Also the dogs were very special also. We are very much animal lovers. 🐈🦮 A real tropical paradise! Highly recommended!

If you are looking for a quite, peaceful vacation this is the place to go. Ms. Annette, the chef has been beyond outstanding! EVERY meal we sat down to was absolutely delicious! We had lobster, mutten, and chicken prepared in the most delictable Jamaican ways. The chef is outstanding and well beyond our expectations. The short walk to the beach onto the sand is a great way to soak up the Jamaican rays. We could use portable beach chairs; the ones provided only had a back and weren't comfortable and didn't work, but otherwise a great
stay !

Beautiful, peaceful area. Owner is very informative. Air conditioning in the bedrooms. Breeze comes thru doors from ocean. A few local dogs escort you to the beach and back. Local bar right down the beach. Ms. Annette🥰🥰she is the best, there are not words that can describe her. She really took care of us. Prepared our meals daily. Kirk the driver you can reserve as your personal tour guide. Coming Back Here😎😎

I want to start off with Karen the host she is amazing , she helped us with everything possible especially thru the Covid 19 we had originally booked in 2019 for travel in 2020 travelled in April 2022 , Karen was very accommodating One Love Karen. Upon arrival to the One Rhythm Villa we met the pulse of Jamaica Miss Annette she is the most genuine and beautiful soul I have ever met, her hospitality is above and beyond we were treated like family, thank you Miss Annette One Love her cooking was beyond delicious, Miss Sandra was amazing also delicious food and hospitality. Kirk our driver and wealth of info on Jamaica was the best thank you Kirk One Love. The Villa is just as it looks it so peaceful and beautiful I could go on and on. We were
extremely grateful to have a true Jamaican experience meeting locals and eating jerk chicken from Juliet’s and a birthday party at the local bar Leroy’s. I have never felt such peace in my life.

Loved the miles of unspoiled beaches!! Accommodations were perfect. Food always fresh and delicious, thank you Miss Annette. I can’t imagine a better place to relax and enjoy the beauty and culture of Jamaica than Duncan’s Bay and One Rytham Villa. Thank you Karen
