Very worthwhile, thought-provoking visit. I had not realised the extent of WW2 history in Italy until now. The architecture of the museum is stunningly starkly done. Several respectful school parties touring. I liked the fact that the staff are strict on decorum during the visit.

A must visit. Exemplar way of preserving and recounting the atrocities of the past. Very touching experience.

Not a light experience, but I considered it as a must, visiting the nearby.
Free entrance (I took audioguide for 3 Eur, but even without it, the museum provides enough information in Italian and English).
This is part of history, not so long time ago.

A sobering experience. Very interesting but also extremely sad.

Great museum and audiotour. Tells touching stories and still manages a good historical contextualization. Fitting architectural concept.

This is a less known, yet very important site to visit. A remarkable monument of an era that should not be forgotten.
For 2 euros only you can buy an audio guide which I really recommend to do so, as otherwise you won't understand what to look at and you won't have all the background information.
If you get there by car the most convenient is to park at the supermarket's parking lot nearby.

Small museum but free. I knew little of Italy part in the holocaust, and I found it very interesting.

Very interesting but heartrending to see the place where so many Jews were killed and tortured.

Incredibly emotional experience that will haunt me for the rest of my life. To think the inner walls may have been the last thing my grandmother, saw chilled me to my core. I don't have the words to express my feelings properly.

Very emotional, very informative place. Lots of in-depth information from survivors.

They preserved the history beautifully, regardless of the pain and agony that occurred here.

If you are in to WWII history, it's a must see. One of the only Nazi concentration camps in Italy, it was active until the Nazis moved out and blew up the evidence. There are heart breaking stories associated with the prisoners there, just like all of the camps. Made two of our kids cry. Which isn't hard for those two tender souls.

It's a place of memory, important for understanding the history of Trieste

Giving five stars to such a sad place doesn't seem right, but once there you can't help but be both moved and appalled--moved by the brutal deaths of so many-- and outraged by the criminal regime that thought it necessary to commit genocide against an entire race.

Great, succinct museum in a place charged with heavy, too recent history. Definitely worth a visit. Plan about 30-40 mins. Audioguides currently unavailable due to covid.

Moving experience! Well restored and maintained facility. High walls give a feeling of being in prison. Of course, nothing can replicate the actual experience. But a visit here is worthwhile.

A very humbling experience and definitely worth a visit. The entrance is free and for 2€ you can borrow a very informative audio guide, which takes about 40 minutes. In the end you can visit a small museum with additional information.

Surely not at the level of the most famous (or infamous) concentration camps. For me it is worth five stars: this place needs a visit, as it is the only camp in Italy with a crematorium
