Cappella dedicata al Santo Abbate francese, confermata con diploma di Papa Clemente III a favore del monastero di San Cosma, nel 1190 (questa bolla è certa, a dispetto di quella del 1188).
Divenne poi chiesa parrocchiale e fu ampliata con elementi architettonici di stile romanico. Oggi si presenta con i rimaneggiamenti secenteschi.
Restaurata nel 2007.
