Lovely place inside a castle. They serve tipical local food and you can see the chef preparing it on a great fireplace. Simply amazing

Fabulous location in Verrucola, located just over the bridge from the car park opposite. A varied menu, which specialises in local produce of the region. At the weekends they serve panigacci (a personal favourite). Great location with stunning views cosy in the winter with an amazing outside space in the summer.

We found this place since the town before doesn't have any place open. We ordered three different kinds of pasta for the first course and each of them were magnificent. They were prepared properly and cooked properly. Then we got a grigliata mista for sharing and all the meat where cooked to perfection too. The prices were fair even a little low. For finding this place by chance on a spectacular location i would definitely recommend to everyone and would go back just to try something else from their menu.

Nice authentic italian cuisine with helpful staff and laid back dining experience, not too busy.

Great food, all first courses are with fresh pasta, and local style sauces. Perfectly cooked meat. Great antipasti.
Prices are fair and maybe even low for the quality.
The area around the restaurant is stunning.

We have been at Locanda Al Castello during our stay in Fivizzano: this restaurant is so good that we have visited two nights in a row! Sgabei are a must to try: delicious! Also worth tasting are the typical "panigacci" made in the traditional way. All the dishes are in fact genuine and great, the atmosphere and the welcoming and friendly service complete the experience. If you are close Fivizzano, make sure you book the experience at Locanda Al Castello.

I love this place. They serve simple but awesome food and the service is wonderful. They always put the guests need first! Like when we came late and they where about to close as there where no guests there. They reopened only for our party of four. That is five star service to me!!

The location of this restaurant is stunning, wonderful food and excellent service. Can't wait to return.

Excellent restaurant with typical dishes like panigacci

Oggi abbiamo condiviso con la mia famiglia una bellissima giornata in questo locale ,molto famigliare e accogliente. Il servizio è ottimo, la titolare parla bene la lingua inglese..ottimo per i turisti . La cucina è ottima e molto curata con prodotti di alta qualità della zona . Sicuramente appena ri avrò occasione ritornerò sicuramente … “consigliato” . ✔✔✔✔✔

VERRUCOLA ne vale la pena fermarsi sia per visitare il Castello . Castellano Jacopo molto carino . Chenper mangiare a La Locanda del Castello ... tutto.ottimissimo e gentilissimi

Bella gita a Fivizzano

Locale molto carino ed accogliente, gnocchi di castagne salsiccia e porri, panigaccio, costolette di agnello tutto molto buono. Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti. Location da favola.

Ottimo locale di panigacci. Prodotti di comparatico di alta qualità. Eravamo già a posto con i panigacci. Ottimi vini. Personale gentilissimo. Assolutamente da tornarci.

Ottimo ristorante appena entrati nel borgo medievale, cibo ottimo. Locale piccolo è molto accogliente. Prezzi onesti per la consumazione consigliato

È magico vedere il proprietario come prepara i panigacci al focolare, saggiando la temperatura dei cocci col volto, per non parlare dei sapori messi in tavola, semplicemente goduruosi

E' un luogo del cuore. Ottima cucina e posto incantevole.

Riteniamo questo uno dei nostri ristoranti preferiti. Pochi tavoli, location accogliente e gestori davvero cordiali. Cucina eccellente. Consigliato

La nostra non e' stata propriamente una cena ma un passaggio per un antipasto e un dolce; nonostante cio' l'atmosfera del locale e la bonta' delle proposte ci hanno fatti stare benissimo! Abbiamo scelto un tagliere di formaggi squisiti, con un particolare accento sul miele e sulla salsa alle pesche per accompagnarli: erano entrambi strepitosi. Il personale e' gentile e ci siamo goduti il caldo fiammeggiante dell'enorme camino su cui vengono cotti in diretta i testi e la carne, il cui fuoco e' costantemente seguito dal suo bravo "addetto". Anche il dolce, un croccante alla nocciola con crema e frutti di bosco, era buonissimo. Se torneremo da queste parti proveremo anche altro!

Ci siamo fermati per pranzo, locale abbastanza vuoto ma normale essendo in inverno e con una giornata di pioggiarella.
Eravamo passati per vedere il paesino ed abbiamo deciso di mangiare qui.
Ristorante molto accogliente e proprietaria molto gentile; abbiamo preso un primo in due e il cervo come secondo, entrambi i piatti molto molto buoni e saporiti. Anche il dolce era fatto bene.
Locale pulito e bagno pulito e completo di carta igienica e carta per le mani.
Conto giusto per ciò che abbiamo mangiato.
In stagione consiglio di prenotare essendo che non ha troppissimi posti a sedere però d'estate allestisce anche fuori accanto al fiume.

Location molto bella sia all’esterno che all’interno, immerso nel verde del borgo di Verrucola affianco al suo castello.
Il menù, molto interessante, offre i prodotti della zona e una modesta carta dei vini.
Ho trovato i miei piatti buonissimi e se non fosse che abito a 3 ore di macchina, magari ci tornerei anche!
