Great selection of cafes and bars around this piazza, including a weekly market on Tuesdays which stretches through the city. Almost every time of day it was filled with locals, and we found ourselves starting every day there with breakfast and ending it with an aperitivo. One of the best places to pass the time in Reggio Emilia!

One of the hearts of Reggio Emilia. In the evening it is a trendy place to meet friends thanks to the numerous bars and restaurants. In the morning there is a colourful market changing almost every day. Special on Saturday with the farmers market. You need to be critical and spot the real farmers offering their products an tell them from the normal sellers just pretending. Late evenings when foggy offer the ideal setting for great photographs
