Really nice place. They have a lot of place inside but me and my friends chose to eat on the terrace. If it's not too cold outside, trust me, you dont want to miss this opportunity, it's really cute, somehow intimate and typically italian. Really nice staff and really good, flavourful desserts.
Because it was our last day in Italy we really wanted to have a taste of everything we missed in our trip to Italy, so we had a bunch of tarts. Good tasty crunchy tart shells and soft creamy fillings, the whipped cream was super good, i bet it was natural .
Go to La Marianna and have a great time , take care, until next time !

Amazing, I mean truely delicious icecream! Nice and cozy location and wonderful friendly and proactive service.

Home of the original Straciatella ice cream ❤ Definitely worth a stop. The ice cream is fabulous, the staff very kind and helpful and the atmosphere rather busy on a weekend.

We came here aiming to try stracciatella gelato at its birthplace, and though it was great, we were even more impressed by the gelato with cachi (persimmon) flavour - decently sweet and creamy with the taste of real persimmon. The place is also nicely decorated, with seatings both indoors and outdoors. Will try other flavors when we have the chance to visit again, especially the milk & rose flowers sound really inviting 😋

Fantastic and wide range of sweets: homemade, mini portions, croissants and many more.

We were with a dog and they allowed us to come inside on a table so that we won't disturb other visitors.

There wasn't many tables with chairs inside but people were waiting to take their ice creams.

We ordered Apero and Babá with Rum, and warm coffee drinks, so we enjoyed our time there very much.

Beautiful place to stop in Old Town for something sweet. Sit outside by the fire if you can, makes the whole experience that little bit more special. Would definitely recommend the Stracciatella Ice Cream and the Wild Berry flavour! The chocolate and apricot one is very rich, tasty, but a little too indulgent for us.

This is where stracciatella was born. For all the stracciatella lovers, this is where you must eat it once. They make it really good. In general, ice cream (gelato) in Italy is very good but there are a lot of flavors to enjoy which are only available in certain parts of Italy. I’ve tried stracciatella here several times. It’s not about the price here (although the prices are not to worry about in his ice cream place) but about the experience. I highly recommend this place for trying stracciatella to all the ice cream lovers.

It is very sweet place to have a break with coffee. Hot chocolate was nice, the garden is sweet. The atmosphere is really cool. I recommend this place if you go to Bergamo Alta Città.

Great stracciatella ice cream! Had also drinks with the complimentary snacks that was more than plenty for two people. Big outdoor seating area.

That's my first time in Italy and I'm happy to have a friend who have taken me to this restaurant. Marvelous food, perfect service and warm atmosphere made my day. There are the best desserts I've ever tried! Highly recommend!!! 👍

Lovely outdoor terrace with friendly staff and a wide selection of pastries, food and lunch. We tried the black rice (Riso Venere) which was served cold, panini and some pastries. Delicious!

The gelato is SO good! Bacio and stracciatella were delicious, they also sell typical local pastries. Outside location very nice, inside not really. Get the stracciatella, typical from Bergamo!

Came here to only try the famous straciatella ice cream. The scoop was quite big. Ice cream was very tasty, not to sweet, soft, milky, and pieces of dark chocolate were a nice balance. Definitely recommend to try when in Bergamo.

Fabulous!! The gentleman who served us was born in the flat above La Marianna and has worked there since the 1950's!!! This place has been serving customers for over 100 years....what a Bergamo tradition to experience. The limone gelato melts in your mouth like cotton candy. Absolutely delicious.

Had such a delicious Stracchiatella ice cream here 😋 Unfortunately we arrived a few minutes before they closed, so there wasn’t that much time to sit down. I would definitely come back in the future once I’m in the area to try out other flavours.

I only realized it’s that famous straciatella place when we left Bergamo. But that doesn’t really matter because I had a chance to try epic polenta e osei and that was kind of experience as well! Coffee was also really good 😊
