My boyfriend and I had date night here and were absolutely blown away by the classic degustazion menu. Every single dish was beautifully presented and delicious. The food was clearly the freshest it good be. The service was top notch, with all of the waiters paying attention to our every move without making us feel overwhelmed. The chef was kind enough to say hello 👋 what an experience!

Today I finally had the chance to eat at one of the most renown Michelin starred restaurants in Viareggio: Da Romano, and I truly had an outstanding experience. The ambiance was intimate but sophisticated with great attention to details. My lunch started with The sea amberjack escalope that had a such a fresh and cool taste that felt like it had just come out of The Mediterranean Sea. The anchovy stuffed zucchini blossom were quite a pleasant surprise, but my favorite was for sure the small squids stuffed with assorted vegetables and crustaceans. I didn’t even think that such small squids could be stuffed. What a work of art! As I wanted to try both the meat and the sea elements, I had as a main course, the homemade ravioli stuffed with roasted pork that literally melted in my mouth…and then I was in food heaven! I continued with the codfish and puttanesca sauce with capers and anchovies that almost reminded me of Sicily and it’s flavors. My experience ended with some petit fours and the amazing Dessert Viareggio 3.0 which was made up of a wonderful sponge cake cream, vanilla, crunchy chocolate, rum flavored custard, wrapped in an opulent edible gold leaf. I got the honor of meeting the owner Mr Romano Franceschini, and his son Roberto, two of the most exquisite and knowledgeable restauranteurs that I have ever met. What an experience!

I dined here two times in 1 week. It is the best meal I’ve had in Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi, Lucca, Pisa & Florence. The service, food and wine list = perfecto & deliziosa! I can’t wait to dine here next vacation! Grazie Mille!!

Abbiamo optato per due menù degustazione “i grandi classici” e non siamo rimasti delusi. Ogni piatto era buono ed equilibrato, il pesce freschissimo e cucinato alla perfezione e anche i dolci sono stati assolutamente all’altezza delle aspettative. Il servizio è sempre stato presente ma non invadente; Romano e Roberto dominano la sala ma anche il cameriere più giovane che ci ha servito é molto preparato. Una stella più che meritata.

Assolutamente un esperienza magnifica ,servizio ottimo,cucina eccellente.Qualità prezzo ottima.Un esperienza assolutamente da provare per chi vuole fare un esperienza unica. Io e mia madre siamo rimasti molto contenti e soddisfatti.

Locale storico di Viareggio. In cucina lo chef Nicola Gronchi, in sala Roberto Franceschini e Romano, formano un team eccezionale! Cucina moderna, ma che propone ancora i piatti ormai leggendari del locale , come i calamaretti spillo ripieni, in sala il servizio è sempre presente ma mai invasivo. Veramente un'esperienza stellata!!

Ottimo cibo. Servizio impeccabile. Piatti squisiti, attenzione per il cliente senza essere soffocati. Grande equilibrio e disponibilità. Graditissimi piccoli assaggi extra. Tutto davvero di alta qualità ed ottimamente accompagnato dalla carineria del personale. Se potessi fare solo un piccolissimo appunto sarebbe sulla location, che andrebbe leggermente svecchiata e curata nell'arredamento. Al contrario il quadro bellissimo nel salottino d'ingresso aveva lasciato ben sperare. La tavola apparecchiata benissimo, e bellissime le rose bianche fresche. Molto apprezzabili. In sintesi un ottimo ristorante per mangiare dei piatti speciali per momenti speciali.
