Trattoria Sant’Ambrogio

This family run trattoria is excellent but very popular so book ahead! Friendly staff were welcoming and happy to accommodate all our questions. The food was delicious with a wide choice. Lots of fish, some meat and a decent selection of vegetarian options (that are generally rare in Sicily). The view was extraordinary. Highly recommend popping in if you are in the area.

Very well served, all food was fresh and delicious. Value for money. We were 6 persons on easter 2024. Well reccomended.

The best restaurant in Sicily! We’ve discovered this family-run jewel last year… and this year we’ve specifically reserved some days in Sant’Ambrogio to be able to enjoy dinners in this restaurant.

The fish here is fresh, varied and cooked to perfection - every day you might find something new, based on the catch of the day. So, if your focus is to eat the real fish straight from the sea - it’s the right place. Moreover, the antipasti and pasta dishes are simply amazing!

And what is so special about this place is that Sandra and Piero make you really feel welcome and at home. We’ll be back again for sure! <3

A lovely little eatery just hidden away in the town. Beautiful views and a lovely waitress who, despite us knowing no Italian and her knowing no English, made us feel very at home. Lovely experience, will definitely be back!

Amazing local fresh food! Run by a husband and wife who were so welcoming. The menu changes every day and even during the day to reflect what is available. Local specialities and their very own special versions of Sicilian classics, everything we had was delicious and served with love. Do make the effort to search this place out. We went on a rainy evening but the view from the outside tables on a sunny day would be superb! They only take cash so visit the ATM on the way 👍

Don't miss it. La Familia Cannistraro knows how to cook local, fresh and authentic Sicilian taste. Pasta and fish are supreme. Follow their lead on wine, they are never wrong.

Amazing family run restaurant. The menu changes every day and have daily specialities. Some of the dishes are typical scicilian food, which one cannot miss. The chef and his wife are so welcoming. The restaurant has magnificent views. The little town is so nice and quiet, ideal for a relaxing evening.

FIRST: do not trust Google to get here. We went up a road STRAIGHT up and had to back down the entire thing. There is a lovely paved road that takes you there. If it feels wrong, it probably is. 😂 anyway, this was our favorite meal we had in Sicily. The people were so kind and the food was very fresh. We are here our last night and i would have come a few times had I known it was here. The grandma sitting in the inside watching her family cook is icing on the cake for the Sicilian experience of labor and love. Very very authentic. The village is gorgeous as well. Loved every second we spent here. One of the women working gave us a neatly folded up blanket for our baby to sit on so she could sit up high on the chair with all of us comfortably.

This is the best meal we had in Sicily. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. My wife and I kept ordering more food because we didn’t want it to end, we ordered until 10:30pm. The squid was caught a few hours before they served it, and all of the food was extremely fresh. If we would have found this place earlier in our trip we would have eaten there every night. I had a dream about the food last night.

Fantastic little family restaurant. View was stunning and so was the food. Amazing pasta and especially the seafood. Service was great, you can see it's a family run place and they really care about their food and customers. Highly recommended!

A very quaint faimly-run resturaunt that serves various regional dishes. The food was great and the view from the resturaunt was stunning around sunset.
